About Position:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager (TPM) with strong Japanese language proficiency (Level 2) to manage Japan-based client projects, enable seamless communication, translate technical documents, and ensure successful project execution. The role requires a blend of project management, technical understanding, and Japanese translation/interpretation skills.

What You'll Do:

Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of Japan-focused IT projects.

Drive project planning, execution, tracking, and risk management.

Align project deliverables with timelines, scope, and quality standards.

Communicate project status and risks to stakeholders.

Japanese Language Translation & Interpretation

Translate technical documents, user stories, project specs, BRDs/SRS from Japanese ↔ English.

Provide real-time interpretation during client calls, demos, and reviews.

Support Japanese-speaking stakeholders with accurate and context-aware communication.

Expertise You'll Bring:

Client Interaction

Act as the primary bridge between Japanese clients and the internal delivery team.

Conduct requirement-gathering sessions in Japanese.

Ensure cultural sensitivity and communication clarity.

Technical Understanding:

Collaborate with engineering teams on technical discussions.

Understand fundamentals of SDLC, cloud, APIs, microservices, and agile processes (not hands-on coding, but good conceptual knowledge).

Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, and release coordination.

Team Collaboration-Work closely with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, BA, DevOps).

Support team with translation of defect logs, release notes, and design documents.

Mentor team members on Japan-specific communication etiquette.

Japanese Language Skills JLPT N2 certification mandatory (N1 preferred).

Strong verbal & written Japanese communication.
