SAP BASIS Consultant

Monitor SAP environments including Development, QA, Production and DR systems under guidance from senior team members.

Support SAP system administration activities and daily operational tasks.

Assist in SAP installations, configurations and maintenance activities.

Execute transport management activities and support system refresh and restore operations.

Perform routine system monitoring and proactively report issues.

Assist in troubleshooting SAP system issues and contribute to root cause analysis.

Support SAP HANA administration and SAP Solution Manager activities.

Participate in SAP implementation, migration, upgrade and support projects.

Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to address business requirements.

Follow established processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Technical requirements

1 to 2 years of SAP Basis administration experience.

Knowledge of SAP system monitoring, administration and support activities.

Basic understanding of SAP HANA and SAP Business Suite landscapes.

Exposure to transport management, client copy, system refresh or backup/restore activities.

Basic exposure to SAP Solution Manager.

Understanding of operating systems and database fundamentals.

Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Good communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to work in a 24x7 support environment.

Additional responsibilities

SAP Basis certification or relevant SAP training.

Exposure to SAP upgrades, migrations or cloud-based SAP environments.

Knowledge of ITIL processes and support operations.

Understanding of automation and monitoring tools in SAP landscapes.
