Key Responsibilities Client Advisory and Domain Leadership • Act as a trusted architecture advisor to client executives, enterprise architects, product owners, security teams, and delivery leaders. • Conduct discovery workshops and translate business strategy into Salesforce roadmaps, target-state architectures, value cases, and phased implementation plans. • Lead architecture presentations, solution walkthroughs, RFP responses, proposal defence discussions, demonstrations, and executive steering conversations. • Apply domain knowledge to solution design, including healthcare privacy and consent, patient/member/provider journeys, retail customer engagement and loyalty, and financial-services onboarding, KYC, relationship management, and servicing. Enterprise Architecture and Multi-Project Governance • Own end-to-end Salesforce architecture across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring consistency in platform strategy, data models, integrations, security, user experience, DevOps, and non-functional requirements. • Establish architecture guardrails, reusable patterns, reference architectures, design standards, and architecture decision records. • Coordinate solution, technical, data, integration, and security architects, together with technical leads, developers, partner teams, and program leadership. • Manage cross-project dependencies, resolve design conflicts, and conduct architecture assurance, technical-debt assessments, production-readiness reviews, and critical issue resolution. • Drive standard-versus-custom decisions and recommend fit-for-purpose use of Salesforce products, platform capabilities, AppExchange solutions, APIs, middleware, and external services. Agentforce and AI Experience - Mandatory • Practical experience designing and delivering Salesforce Agentforce and AI capabilities, including use-case assessment, agent design, grounding, topics, actions, Prompt Builder, Flow and Apex orchestration, testing, deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle governance. • Define AI architecture patterns covering embedded assistance, bounded automation, native agents, external or headless experiences, and integration with enterprise AI platforms. • Architect responsible AI controls for data access, privacy, security, auditability, hallucination risk, human approval, model selection, evaluation, observability, and cost governance. • Assess data readiness and design grounding approaches using Salesforce data, Data Cloud or Data 360, knowledge sources, APIs, and governed external data. • Identify and prioritize domain-led AI use cases across healthcare, retail, and financial services, and lead demonstrations, proofs of concept, accelerators, and production adoption. • Guide AI-assisted SDLC practices while ensuring generated designs, configurations, and code receive appropriate human review and quality controls. Salesforce Technical Expertise • Deep architecture expertise across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Salesforce Platform, Health Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, and relevant industry solutions. • Strong understanding of Salesforce data architecture, sharing and security, identity and access management, large-data-volume design, platform limits, performance, compliance, and governance. • Proficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flow, SOQL, platform events, asynchronous processing, APIs, and Salesforce configuration. Hands-on work may be required for prototypes, reviews, and complex issues. • Extensive integration experience using REST, SOAP, event-driven and API-led patterns, MuleSoft or similar middleware, and enterprise systems such as ERP, EHR/EMR, commerce, payment, identity, analytics, and collaboration platforms. • Experience with DevSecOps, source control, Salesforce CLI, automated testing, CI/CD, code-quality tools, environment strategy, deployment governance, and production support. • Ability to define migration, consolidation, coexistence, archival, master-data, data-quality, and cutover strategies. Preferred Platform Experience • OmniStudio experience, including OmniScripts, FlexCards, DataRaptors, Integration Procedures, and industry-process orchestration. • Experience architecting Salesforce and Agentforce solutions in Slack, including employee workflows, approvals, collaboration, notifications, and governed actions. • Exposure to Data Cloud or Data 360, Marketing Cloud, Revenue Cloud or CPQ, Tableau, MuleSoft, and Experience Cloud. • Experience with headless, API-first, event-driven, or multi-agent architectures and integration with enterprise AI ecosystems. Delivery, People, and Practice Leadership • Plan and coordinate architecture activities across parallel programs and maintain visibility of decisions, dependencies, assumptions, delivery risks, and remediation actions. • Mentor architects, technical leads, and developers through coaching, reviews, reusable assets, communities of practice, and knowledge-sharing sessions. • Support pre-sales and account growth through discovery, solution strategy, estimates, architecture diagrams, demonstrations, proposals, and defence presentations. • Partner with program management to translate architecture decisions into executable delivery plans with appropriate security, quality, and operational readiness. • Contribute to Centers of Excellence through standards, accelerators, reference implementations, release assessments, innovation initiatives, and thought leadership. Qualifications and Certifications • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification is advantageous. • Salesforce Application Architect and System Architect credentials are strongly preferred. • Platform Developer II is expected for candidates with a technical architecture focus. • At least one relevant consultant or specialist certification is preferred, such as Agentforce Specialist, Health Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, Data Cloud or Data 360, Service Cloud, Sales Cloud, or Experience Cloud. • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect is highly desirable but not mandatory where equivalent enterprise architecture depth and client leadership are demonstrated. Success Profile • Executive presence and strong communication skills for senior business and technology stakeholders. • Strategic yet pragmatic approach, with the ability to define target-state direction and realistic phased implementation paths. • Portfolio leadership that maintains architecture coherence and delivery momentum across several concurrent initiatives. • Domain-led thinking that connects Salesforce capabilities to industry processes, regulations, customer journeys, and measurable outcomes. • Strong judgement, structured problem-solving, early risk escalation, and collaborative leadership across clients, UST teams, Salesforce, and partners.
