Role Summary

We are looking for a Validation Engineer with strong debugging expertise to validate system functionality, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and ensure product quality across hardware, firmware, and software components.

The role requires hands-on validation, issue reproduction, and close collaboration with development teams to drive defect resolution and product reliability. Based on internal debug and validation role descriptions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute validation test plans and test cases.

Perform system-level, platform-level, and component-level validation.

Debug hardware, firmware, and software issues and conduct root cause analysis.

Reproduce customer and field-reported issues in lab environments.

Analyze logs, traces, crash dumps, and telemetry data.

Identify, track, and verify defect fixes.

Develop automated validation and debug tools using scripting languages.

Collaborate with development, firmware, and hardware teams to improve product quality.

Document validation results, failure analysis findings, and test reports.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

5+ years of experience in Validation, Testing, Debug, or Quality Engineering.

Strong understanding of system architecture, CPU, Memory, Storage, Networking, and Firmware.

Experience with Linux/Windows environments and debugging tools.

Experience in SQL.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

Hardware and firmware validation experience.

Server, datacenter, embedded, or cloud platform validation.

Test automation framework development.

Failure analysis and defect triage experience.

Knowledge of interfaces such as PCIe, I2C, UART, USB, and JTAG.

Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
