Senior Specialist - Data Engineering

Role: PowerBI report tester

Required Skill:

8-12 years of experience in Power BI Report Testing BI Validation Data Warehouse Testing and Quality

Engineering

Strong expertise in SQL for backend data validation reconciliation report testing and data quality

verification

Handson experience validating Power BI reports dashboards KPIs scorecards visualizations filters

slicers and drillthrough functionality

Experience :8 to 12 years

Educational Qualification

Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science IT Engineering or a directly related field

A bit about who we are looking for

The Report Tester should have experience in Power BI report testing including BI validation data warehouse

testing and quality engineering with strong SQL skills for backend data validation and reconciliation Expertise

in validating Power BI reports dashboards KPIs and various functionalities performing sourcetotarget data

validation and ensuring accuracy through DAX Power Query and data model verification will be essential

Having handson experience in data quality testing experience with enterprise data platforms like Databricks

and Snowflake knowledge of STLC and Agile methodologies report and data migration testing and exposure to

automation and performance testing is a major plus Additionally some of the desirable skills are Power BI

Service components PythonSQL automation MDM and data governance testing Azure DevOpsJIRA and

financial and operational reporting validation

Perform sourcetotarget validation and reconcile data between source systems data warehouses and

Power BI reports

Validate DAX measures calculated columns Power Query transformations data models and

relationships to ensure reporting accuracy

Conduct comprehensive data quality testing including accuracy completeness consistency null checks

duplicate checks and business rule validation

Experience in testing reports built on enterprise data platforms such as Databricks Snowflake ADLS

ADF SQL Server Oracle and cloudbased data ecosystems

Strong knowledge of STLC test planning test case design defect management estimation and

AgileScrum methodologies

Experience in report migration data migration testing and reconciliation strategies between legacy and

modern reporting platforms

Exposure to test automation for report validation report performance testing Power BI Service

scheduled refresh validation and enterprise reporting best practices

Good work ethics and the ability to complete tasks and deliverable under defined deadlines while

maintaining flexibility

Agile environment proficiency not mandatory

Working in crossfunctional projects

Excellent analytical problemsolving and production support skills

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with crossfunctional teams
