Job Title: MS SQL DBA

Location: Remote

Job Description:

Manage and maintain databases Oracle MS SQL PostgreSQL MySQL to ensure optimal performance and reliability

Perform database installation configuration and upgrades

Handle database objects such as tables indexes schemas and tablespaces

Monitor database health capacity and growth trend

Analyze and optimize queries indexes and database structures

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and slow queries

Conduct performance tuning using diagnostic tools AWR EXPLAIN plans etc

Improve database efficiency through continuous tuning and refinement

Secondary Skill

Manage database users roles privileges and access controls

Ensure database security standards and compliance policies are followed

Implement authentication encryption and auditing mechanisms

Ensure minimal downtime and high data availability

Manage failover and failback processes

Strong experience in Oracle SQL Server PostgreSQL MySQL

Expertise in

Backup recovery RMAN native tools

Performance tuning query optimization

Database migration patching and upgrades

High Availability RAC Data Guard replication

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills

Effective communication and stakeholder management

Ability to handle critical incidents and work under pressure

Ownership and proactive approach
