Articore runs Redbubble, TeePublic, Dashery, and Frankly Wearing, some of the largest creator marketplaces in the world.
You'll lead one or more of Articore’s dedicated Tiger Team’s in India. Those are small, high-leverage teams that go after Engineering's most urgent strategic and tactical cross-cutting initiatives across our four marketplaces. Rather than owning a single product roadmap, you'll pick up whatever the business's highest-priority initiative is at a given time, execute it fast, then move to the next.
You'll work closely with the SVP and Director of Engineering and peers across the wider engineering organization to keep delivery moving, and play an active role in shaping the culture, ways of working, and day-to-day effectiveness of the team. This is a lead-from-the-front role, dropping into unfamiliar systems, shipping alongside your engineers, and handing things off cleanly when the initiative ends. We expect thisteam to build AI-first. Agentic coding tools, AI-assisted review, and AI in the product itself are default parts of how work gets done
Leading an engineering function, you will make an impact across three main areas of Delivery, People, and Technology.
Delivery
•Lead delivery for the team while contributing hands-on: setting direction, unblocking, and managing dependencies to land product and technical objectives
•Absorb and re-scope quickly when the team's priority target changes. Tiger teams follow the business's most urgent need, not a fixed backlog
•Own sprint discipline end to end: a groomed, ready backlog, work sized and scoped before it's committed, a consistent cadence, and throughput the team and its stakeholders can plan against
•Partner with engineering leadership and adjacent teams to align roadmaps, distribute workstreams effectively, enable knowledge transfer, and land cross-team initiatives
•Run delivery across time zones: design workstreams, handoffs, and written communication so the team stays effective against partner teams and stakeholders in Melbourne and New York, decisions and context are captured in writing rather than lost in a call, and neither side sits blocked waiting
•Agree scope, definition of done, and handoff terms with the team that owns the domain before work starts, coordinating closely with the domain PM
•Evolve team processes and reporting to make delivery reliable and predictable as the team scales
•Build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement — clear expectations, visible progress, and steady gains in delivery outcomes
People
•Own performance, development, and feedback for the engineers on your team — including reviews, growth plans, and career conversations
•Coach through the work – pairing, design review, and code review are your primary teaching tools
•Provide regular, actionable feedback tied to OKRs and individual growth goals
•Calibrate with engineering leadership and counterparts in other teams to ensure consistent standards, expectations, and growth opportunities
•Build and sustain a healthy team dynamic — clear expectations, psychological safety, and strong engagement inside and outside the team
Technology
•Steward your domain's architecture and technical direction, ensuring solutions meet business objectives and align with our Engineering Principles, Tech Radar, and architecture standards
•Establishes patterns and guidelines for an AI-first team: Agentic coding tools, AI-assisted review, and AI in the product itself.
•Champion responsible operational ownership of your team's systems — fit-for-purpose support, observability, and reliability for the demands each system faces
•Continuously assess team capabilities against the technical demands of the roadmap, and close gaps through hiring, training, or rotation
