As part of the Customer Success Engineering function within Core Technology & Transformation Horizontal, you will work closely with application and platform teams to simplify cloud onboarding, standardize infrastructure delivery, and enable secure adoption of DWS cloud capabilities. The role focuses on building reusable engineering patterns, improving developer experience, and helping teams consume cloud, DevOps, and AI-enabled delivery capabilities effectively.

Your key responsibilities
Act as a Customer Success Engineer for DWS application teams to accelerate secure cloud adoption, resolve blockers, and improve developer experience across the DWS Cloud Enclave.
Support onboarding, migration readiness, environment setup, productionisation, and platform consumption for cloud-based applications.
Build reusable cloud patterns, Terraform modules, GitHub workflows, templates, and self-service assets to simplify infrastructure delivery.
Provide hands-on support across GCP, automation, IAM, networking, observability, deployment workflows, and platform integration topics.
Embed SDLC, security, risk, and governance requirements into practical engineering and DevOps delivery patterns.
Leverage GitHub, infrastructure-as-code, and AI-assisted engineering tools to improve speed, quality, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Create knowledge base content, onboarding guides, FAQs, and examples to scale support across vertical teams.
Collaborate with platform, security, architecture, SDLC, and application teams to improve platform capabilities and standardise cloud adoption.
Contribute to future CSE initiatives including Cloud Champions, vertical capability uplift, self-service automation, and AI-enabled engineering productivity.
Your skills and experience
Must-have skills / experience
4–8 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, infrastructure automation, platform engineering, SRE, or application enablement roles.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code , preferably Terraform, including module usage, reusable patterns, code reviews, remote state, and environment-based configuration.
Working knowledge of at least one major cloud platform , preferably GCP, with understanding of core services across compute, containers, storage, IAM, networking, databases, monitoring, and deployment workflows.
Experience with GitHub or similar source control platforms , including pull requests, branching strategies, code review practices, repository structure, and CI/CD workflow integration.
Strong understanding of cloud and DevOps fundamentals , including automation, deployment pipelines, access control, environment management, troubleshooting, and operational readiness.
Ability to work directly with application teams to understand requirements, resolve blockers, guide onboarding, and support cloud/platform adoption.
Good communication and documentation skills , with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to distributed teams across India, Germany, and the UK.
Basic scripting or programming ability in one or more languages such as Python, Java, .NET, Go, or shell scripting.
Nice-to-have skills / exposure
Hands-on exposure to GCP services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud SQL, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC, KMS, Cloud Build, Cloud Monitoring, or VPC Service Controls.
Experience building reusable engineering assets , such as Terraform modules, GitHub workflow templates, onboarding guides, reference implementations, or self-service automation.
Familiarity with enterprise SDLC, security, risk, and governance practices , especially in regulated environments such as banking, financial services, or asset management.
Exposure to developer experience or internal platform enablement initiatives , such as cloud onboarding, migration support, platform consumption, golden paths, or self-service journeys.
Interest in or exposure to AI-assisted engineering tools , such as GitHub Copilot or similar tools for coding, documentation, troubleshooting, or productivity improvement.
Experience with observability and operational readiness , including logging, monitoring, alerting, incident support, or productionisation practices.
Education / Certification
Relevant cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering certification is desirable, such as Google Cloud, Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub, or CI/CD-related certifications.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Science, Engineering, or an IT-related discipline (or equivalent).
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
