AV Operations Specialist – CTS Solutions | Enterprise Operations Xcellenece

Work you’ll do

Your primary responsibilities will include helping customers determine the best technology solutions to meet their desired virtual or hybrid meeting outcomes. In this role, you will support AV events, videoconference endpoints, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams meetings and events. As an AV Operations specialist, you will offer consultation and recommend the best audio/video solutions for their events, meetings, or sessions. You will act as a central point of contact for all individuals involved in the event and provide them with end-to-end support based on their requirements.

Duties will include reviewing the schedule of all events scheduled for the coming week and the next day. You will provide health checks for the spaces at the start of the day and before the event to ensure the functionality of the space is up and running. You will oversee all the AV devices across the location and keep an active track of their health and whereabouts to ensure they are being checked and replaced as needed based on utilization. You will keep the local leadership and reporting lead updated on the day-to-day activities and challenges surfaced during the events, sessions, or meetings.

Responsibilities

Conduct pre-event planning sessions with clients to understand their requirements and objectives and enable the appropriate technology setup for the specified time.

Assist wth all AV operations-related tasks, ensuring the highest quality standards are met for each event.

Plan, coordinate, and execute live production events, including the setup, operation, and breakdown of live streaming and AV equipment.

Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all technical and logistical aspects of events are addressed.

Monitor the health of AV equipment and video endpoints to ensure proper maintenance and optimal performance.

Develop and implement best practices for AV operations and live event production, continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Interact with all the team members across USI offices to stay updated on ongoing processes and new changes, ensuring consistent standards are maintained across the board to deliver a uniform client experience.

Required Technical Skills

Setting up equipment in collaboration space and at events – from initial setup to wrap-up.

Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues related to AV equipment during testing and events.

Intermediate-level experience with event technology platforms and AV equipment. Candidates should have experience producing events using virtual-event and web-conferencing platforms.

Working knowledge of basic office live-streaming setups, including cameras, microphones, audio mixers, presentation sources, encoders, and streaming platforms, with the ability to perform setup, testing, operation, and L1 troubleshooting.

Experience troubleshooting L1/L2 incidents related to virtual-event platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams, including the ability to recommend technical workarounds as needed.

Working knowledge of videoconferencing products such as Poly Studio X30 , X50, and X70 systems and Cisco video endpoints, including the ability to troubleshoot L1/L2 issues through platform interfaces such as the Zoom Dashboard and Cisco Control Hub.

Experience working on ticketing tools such as ServiceNow is essential.

Certification or additional degrees in AV, Sound engineering or related field is a plus.

Required Professional Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and team coordination.

This position will be privy to confidential, classified, and unpublished information; therefore, it is critical that discretion and confidentially are always exercised and at the forefront of all communications written and verbal.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, including ability to propose solutions and explanations in writing and collaborate with a wide range of teams to oversee events.

Attention to detail to ensure high-quality event delivery and client satisfaction.

Ability to follow instructions, remain professional under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s/4-year University degree

Monday to Friday (in-office) | Weekends, as needed | Flexibility provided on an as needed basis.

Should be willing to work rotational shifts, as needed.
