Senior Cloud Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to design, implement, secure, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud platforms, automation, infrastructure as code, security best practices, and modern DevOps methodologies. This role will work closely with development, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and cost-effective cloud solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure across platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation, or similar tools. Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated application deployment and infrastructure provisioning. Monitor cloud environments, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance, availability, and scalability. Ensure cloud environments comply with security, governance, and regulatory requirements. Implement disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies. Collaborate with application teams to architect cloud-native and containerized solutions. Manage Kubernetes clusters, container platforms, and microservices deployments. Optimize cloud spending through resource monitoring and cost management practices. Create operational documentation, architecture diagrams, and technical standards. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on cloud initiatives. Participate in on-call support and incident management when required. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. 6+ years of IT infrastructure experience with at least 3+ years in cloud engineering. Strong hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP. Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent tools. Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or Shell scripting. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD. Strong understanding of networking concepts including DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, VNET/VPC, and firewalls. Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge of cloud security, identity management, and access controls. Experience in monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk.
