Key Responsibilities
Fire & Life Safety Operations
Monitor the operation and readiness of all fire protection and life safety systems.
Ensure fire pumps, hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, fire extinguishers and other firefighting equipment are maintained in operational condition.
Conduct regular inspection of fire protection equipment and identify deficiencies.
Ensure fire exits, escape routes, emergency staircases and assembly points remain clear and accessible.
Monitor fire panel alarms and coordinate immediate response to fire-related incidents.
Emergency Response
Respond immediately to fire alarms, emergencies and other life-safety incidents.
Lead the initial emergency response and coordinate with the Fire & Safety team.
Coordinate with external emergency services such as the Fire Department, ambulance services and other authorities when required.
Participate in emergency evacuation and rescue operations.
Maintain emergency response readiness on a 24×7 basis through proper shift coordination.
Fire Safety Inspections
Conduct routine fire safety inspections of buildings, plant rooms, electrical rooms, DG areas, kitchens, parking areas and other critical locations.
Check fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, sprinklers, fire alarm devices, emergency lighting and other safety equipment.
Identify unsafe conditions and initiate corrective actions.
Maintain inspection checklists and records.
Fire Drills & Training
Conduct periodic fire and emergency mock drills.
Train security, housekeeping, engineering and other employees on basic fire safety and emergency procedures.
Conduct toolbox talks and fire safety awareness sessions.
Ensure occupants are familiar with evacuation routes and assembly points.
