Job Title: Senior Manual Tester

Location: Bengaluru, India

Years of Experience: 5-7 years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manual Tester with a strong background in manual testing methodologies and a proven track record of delivering high-quality software products. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in testing applications, with a particular emphasis on using Postman for API testing. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work collaboratively within a team to ensure that our automotive software solutions meet the highest standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for manual testing of software applications.

Utilize Postman to perform API testing, ensuring that all endpoints function as expected and meet the specified requirements.

Identify, document, and track defects using appropriate tools, ensuring timely resolution and retesting.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand requirements and provide feedback on software functionality.

Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to provide input on testability and quality aspects.

Conduct regression testing and ensure that new features do not adversely affect existing functionality.

Mentor junior testers and provide guidance on best practices in manual testing.

Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall product quality.

Mandatory Skills:

Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in manual testing techniques and methodologies.

Proficiency in using Postman for API testing.

Experience in writing clear and concise test cases and defect reports.

Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in an Agile environment.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with automation testing tools is a plus.

Knowledge of SQL and database testing.

Familiarity with performance testing tools.

Understanding of the automotive industry and related software applications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

5-7 years of experience in manual testing, with a focus on API testing using Postman.

Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
