Your work profile

The Sourcing-to-Pay (S2P) Operate Delivery Manager will lead procurement operations in a third-party delivery environment. This position owns service performance, workforce orchestration, governance, stakeholder alignment, and measurable value realization. The incumbent will combine practical process knowledge with disciplined execution to strengthen team capability, improve productivity, and sustain dependable outcomes across the engagement.

Key responsibilities for the Manager will include:

Service Delivery Leadership

Own day-to-day delivery across assigned sourcing and procurement operations, ensuring commitments are met with consistent quality.

Translate contractual obligations and business priorities into clear operating plans, controls, and review rhythms.

Maintain delivery governance through structured forums, decision logs, action tracking, and accountable follow-through.

Act as the primary operational contact for service matters, coordinating resolution across client and internal teams.

Performance, Reporting & Insights

Define, monitor, and govern SLAs, KPIs, operational health indicators, and productivity measures.

Build concise dashboards and reporting packs that highlight trends, exceptions, root causes, and required interventions.

Use data to identify performance gaps, forecast pressure points, and guide timely corrective actions.

Protect reporting integrity through robust validation, clear ownership, and transparent commentary.

Workforce & Workload Management

Triage incoming demand, balance capacity, and allocate work based on priority, complexity, skill, and turnaround requirements.

Track utilization, throughput, backlog, aging, and schedule adherence to keep operations stable and responsive.

Anticipate resourcing constraints, develop practical recovery plans, and coordinate surge support when needed.

Coach team leads on disciplined execution, ownership, and effective performance conversations.

Stakeholder, Escalation & Risk Management

Build trusted relationships with business, procurement, finance, technology, and supplier-facing stakeholders.

Handle escalations with speed, sound judgment, fact-based communication, and clear closure ownership.

Maintain risk, issue, dependency, and mitigation registers while driving preventive actions.

Communicate service status, trade-offs, decisions, and recovery progress in a direct, audience-appropriate manner.

Capability Uplift & Value Delivery

Contribute to Procurement CoE development by standardizing practices, knowledge assets, controls, and role expectations.

Assess capability gaps and shape targeted learning, cross-training, succession, and knowledge-retention measures.

Identify opportunities that improve cycle time, accuracy, user experience, compliance, or cost effectiveness.

Convert improvement ideas into prioritized initiatives with owners, benefits, milestones, and adoption measures.

Operational Excellence & Transformation

Promote a continuous-improvement culture using structured problem solving, root-cause analysis, and sustainable countermeasures.

Simplify workflows, remove non-value-adding steps, and support automation or digital enablement where relevant.

Benchmark results, share reusable practices, and scale proven solutions across comparable processes.

Balance immediate delivery needs with long-term maturity, resilience, and service evolution.

Skills & competencies

Functional

Deep understanding of S2P operations, with hands-on exposure to sourcing and procurement service delivery.
Experience managing outsourced or third-party operations; familiarity with CoE models is advantageous.
Solid command of service governance, demand management, productivity controls, and operational risk.

Analytical & Digital

Advanced ability to interpret operational data, detect patterns, and turn findings into decisions.
Proficiency in Excel and dashboarding platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
Working knowledge of procurement suites, ERP environments, workflow tools, and reporting automation.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Confident communicator who can influence senior stakeholders and align diverse teams.
Skilled in coaching, delegation, conflict resolution, and building ownership at every level.
Composed under pressure, commercially aware, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.

Improvement methods: Lean, Six Sigma, root-cause analysis, or related disciplines

Experience

10-12 years in delivery operations, including significant responsibility for S2P or procurement services.

Demonstrated success leading sourcing and purchasing processes in a third-party operating model.

Track record of governing SLAs, KPIs, dashboards, capacity, productivity, escalations, risks, and improvements.

Exposure to Procurement CoE establishment, capability development, or service maturity enhancement is preferred.

Experience managing multi-layer teams and engaging senior client stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, engineering, supply chain, operations, or a related discipline.

MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.

Lean Six Sigma, CSCP, CPSM, CIPS, PMP, or equivalent certification is advantageous.
