The Opportunity:

UST is looking for Software Product Development Engineer

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Semiconductor Software Product Development Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support semiconductor manufacturing, process control, equipment automation, and product development. The ideal candidate will develop scalable, high-quality software, collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, and contribute throughout the complete software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications for semiconductor products and manufacturing systems

Build scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions

Collaborate with hardware, firmware, process, and product engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions

Participate in software architecture, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization

Develop automated test frameworks and ensure software quality through unit and integration testing

Document software designs, technical specifications, and user guides. Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing product support. Required

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Strong programming skills in C++, C#, Java, or Python.

Experience with software development for semiconductor equipment, manufacturing systems, or EDA applications.

Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and software development best practices.

Experience with Linux/Windows environments, version control (Git), and Agile methodologies.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Skills:

Experience with semiconductor manufacturing processes, automation, MES, SECS/GEM, or factory integration.

Familiarity with cloud technologies, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of data analytics, AI/ML, or computer vision applications in semiconductor manufacturing is a plus.
