Lead I - Software Engineering

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced React Frontend Developer with demonstrated expertise in AI/ML integration to join our dynamic Engineering & Technology team. This is a key senior-level role for a professional who combines deep React expertise with emerging AI knowledge to build next-generation user interfaces that leverage artificial intelligence capabilities. As a React Frontend Developer with AI knowledge, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and user-centric applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product, Design, Backend Engineering, and Data Science to deliver exceptional digital experiences that incorporate AI-driven features and capabilities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities ● Design and develop high-performance, responsive React components and applications for web and mobile platforms, ensuring optimal user experience across all devices and browsers. ● Integrate AI/ML models and APIs into frontend applications, creating seamless user interfaces for AI-driven features such as predictive analytics, natural language processing, and computer vision capabilities. ● Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design mockups and wireframes into responsive, interactive web applications that align with brand guidelines and accessibility standards. ● Implement state management solutions (Redux, Context API, Zustand) to manage complex application state and data flows, particularly for AI feature pipelines. ● Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests using Jest, React Testing Library, and other testing frameworks to ensure code quality and reliability. ● Optimize application performance through code splitting, lazy loading, caching strategies, and efficient rendering, with special attention to AI-intensive components. ● Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design meetings to share knowledge and maintain high standards of code quality. ● Stay current with emerging technologies, AI/ML frameworks, and React ecosystem advancements; mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Required Qualifications ● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered. ● 6+ years of professional experience developing production-grade applications with React, demonstrating progressive responsibilities and technical growth. ● Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React hooks, component design patterns, and state management libraries. ● Demonstrated knowledge of AI/ML concepts and hands-on experience integrating AI/ML APIs, models, or frameworks into frontend applications. ● Proficiency in testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Enzyme) and a commitment to writing testable, maintainable code. ● Experience with Git version control, modern build tools (Webpack, Vite, Babel), and CI/CD pipelines. ● Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and experience consuming backend services. ● Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to write clean, efficient, and well-documented code. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Preferred Qualifications ● Experience with Python, as it relates to AI/ML integration and data processing. ● Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow.js, ONNX.js, ML.js) or API consumption patterns. ● Experience with Next.js, server-side rendering (SSR), or static site generation (SSG). ● Exposure to containerization (Docker) and Kubernetes or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). ● Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and experience building inclusive applications. ● Experience with real-time applications (WebSockets, Socket.io) or progressive web applications (PWAs). ● Contribution to open-source projects or a GitHub portfolio demonstrating expertise. ● Experience mentoring junior developers or leading technical initiatives.
