Position- Engineering Productivity Lead (DevOps Lead / Platform Engineer) Exp- 6+ Years Notice Period- Immediate Joiner- 30 days Location- Noida, Sector 63 Skills- Java , Spring Boot/Spring MVC , Tomcat, Legacy Java, Git, CI/CD, API Testing, WireMock/MockServer/TestContainers , OpenAPI, SQL, Linux, Bash/Python, Developer Tools/DevEx About the Role: We are looking for an Engineering Productivity Lead to improve developer efficiency and software delivery across Java/Tomcat/JSP/Servlet applications, Android platforms, and backend services. The role will focus on streamlining development workflows, strengthening testing and automation practices, reducing dependency bottlenecks, and enabling engineering teams to build, test, and deploy software faster and more reliably. Hands-on experience with Java applications, Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, developer tooling, and engineering productivity practices is essential. Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Codex, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot will be an added advantage. Key Responsibilities: Improve and standardise local development environments for Java/Tomcat applications. Define and implement Git workflows, Pull Request processes, branching strategies, and code review practices. Build and maintain dependency mocking and service virtualization solutions. Drive automated unit, integration, API, and regression testing. Establish API contract standards using OpenAPI to support independent frontend and backend development. Improve CI/CD pipelines, build reliability, and deployment automation. Create developer tools, automation scripts, onboarding documentation, templates, and engineering runbooks. Identify engineering productivity bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency and code quality. Required Skills: 6–9 years of experience in Java Development, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Developer Experience (DevEx). Strong experience with Java, Tomcat, JSP, Servlets, JDBC, Spring MVC and/or Spring Boot. Good understanding of legacy Java monoliths and modernization practices. Strong hands-on experience with Git, Pull Requests, branching strategies, and code review workflows. Experience with Test Automation, Integration Testing, Regression Testing, and API Testing. Knowledge of WireMock, MockServer, TestContainers, or similar mocking/service virtualization tools. Experience with API Contracts, OpenAPI specifications, and RESTful services. Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar CI/CD platforms. Strong understanding of SQL databases and dependency management. Proficiency in Linux and scripting using Bash and/or Python. Experience building internal developer tools, automation utilities, or productivity frameworks.
