Job Title: Associate 1 – Field Engineer Department: Telecom Operations / Network Services Location: As per project requirement Experience: 0 to 2 Years Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary The Associate 1 Field Engineer is responsible for supporting telecom network deployment, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization activities at customer and site locations. The role involves working with telecom equipment, ensuring service availability, and providing technical support to maintain network performance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Perform installation, commissioning, and integration of telecom equipment and network devices. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance activities for telecom infrastructure. Troubleshoot and resolve faults related to wireless, transmission, and network equipment. Perform site surveys and support network rollout projects. Monitor network health and escalate critical issues to higher support teams when required. Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational procedures during field activities. Maintain accurate records of site visits, maintenance activities, and issue resolutions. Coordinate with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders for timely issue resolution. Support acceptance testing and quality checks of newly deployed telecom equipment. Provide technical updates and status reports to project managers and supervisors. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Basic understanding of telecom technologies such as GSM, LTE, 4G/5G, Fiber Optics, Transmission Networks, and IP Networking. Knowledge of telecom equipment installation and troubleshooting. Familiarity with network monitoring and diagnostic tools. Understanding of health, safety, and quality standards in field operations. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel extensively and work at remote field locations. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with telecom infrastructure and network equipment. Knowledge of RF fundamentals, OSS tools, and fiber connectivity. Exposure to telecom service provider environments. Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching).
