Specialist Manager, Risk and Compliance Services

This is an internal services position in the Independence & Conflicts Network Personal Consultations team that supports the Deloitte organization in complying with various professional independence requirements.

Work you'll do

As a Specialist Manager, Risk and Compliance Services on the ICN Personal Consultations team, you will be responsible for:

Lead a team of professionals in India who analyze private investments to determine permissibility and compliance with independence policy.

Establish, communicate, and monitor individual and team production targets to support timely completion of analyses.

Serve as an Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN) subject matter expert on private-investment independence policy and communicate policy updates and process impacts to the team.

Review private-investment analyses and documentation for adherence to established processes, independence policy, and quality-control requirements.

Develop, train, coach, and assign work to associates and specialists; lead process, reporting, and technology enhancements, including user acceptance testing and special projects.

The Risk and Brand Protection group is focused on strategic, confidential and regulatory matters which include ensuring the independence of the Firm and its Partners, Managing Directors and professionals. The R&BP group conducts a host of compliance monitoring activities for all the professionals in the US and India offices. The R&BP practice comprises various teams operating databases with clients and affiliate information, monitoring conflicts of interest, data privacy, and monitoring investments of Firm personnel.

Independence & Conflicts Network (ICN)

Are you focused on compliance with regulations and policies? Are you passionate about quality assurance and risk-management in a professional services environment? Then our ICN Personal Consultation team may be the right fit for you! Deloitte’s ICN is looking for a high-performing Manager.

As a Manager in our Personal Consultation team, you’ll be on the cutting edge of regulatory compliance, focusing on auditor independence rules and their impacts on the professional services environment. In your consultative role, you’ll work closely with Deloitte Partners, Principals, and professional staff to ensure compliance with regulations and maintain Deloitte’s reputation.

Location: Hyderabad

Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM, per business requirements

Qualifications

Required:

Postgraduate degree in Finance or a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a Finance concentration.

10–12 years of experience in auditor independence, regulatory compliance, risk management, audit, or private-investment reviews.

Experience leading teams that perform compliance, risk-management, audit, or financial-analysis activities.

Experience interpreting policies or regulatory requirements and documenting conclusions for case reviews.

Experience establishing, communicating, and monitoring individual and team production targets.

Experience conducting quality-control reviews of analyses and supporting documentation against established procedures.

Experience leading process, reporting, or technology enhancements, including user acceptance testing.

Preferred:

Experience in public accounting audit and compliance requirements for professional auditing firms
