Overview

Data and Graph Platform team builds and operates mission-critical cloud services that process and analyze security and operational telemetry at massive scale. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will drive the design, development, and reliability of distributed systems that power data-driven security experiences.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate scalable cloud services and distributed systems that process large volumes of security and telemetry data. - Drive end-to-end development, including architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational excellence. - Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver platform capabilities that enable security analytics, threat detection, and data-driven insights. - Improve service reliability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency through engineering best practices, automation, and observability. - Mentor engineers, contribute to technical strategy, and champion high standards for software quality, security, and customer impact.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent experience) with 6+ years in software development, including proficiency in C# (Java/C++), OOP, design patterns, and multithreading.

Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, Linux/Windows OS, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), Kubernetes, REST API design, microservices, event-driven architecture, secure coding, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization.

Hands-on experience with build/deployment pipelines, pub/sub models, asynchronous processing, mentoring Engineers, developers, authoring design documents, and collaborating on end-to-end solutions.

Effective communication, problem-solving, and adaptability in ambiguous situations.

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
