Role Type : Fixed Term Contract (12 Months)

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced MI / Reporting Engineer – Billing Transformation to design, develop, and maintain robust Management Information (MI) , operational reporting, dashboards, and analytics solutions supporting a large-scale Billing Transformation programme .
The role requires strong expertise in reporting technologies, Snowflake, Power BI, SQL, billing processes, Order-to-Cash lifecycle, and data modelling . The ideal candidate will deliver accurate, timely, and trusted insights across billing operations, revenue, invoicing, collections, disputes, and transformation KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
Management Information & Reporting
Design, develop, and maintain reporting solutions that provide visibility into Billing Transformation initiatives and operational performance.
Build reports and dashboards covering:
Billing and invoicing operations
Revenue and billing accuracy
Customer billing lifecycle
Billing exceptions and disputes
Collections and receivables performance
Service and product billing trends
Transformation programme progress and KPI tracking
Partner with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and convert them into scalable reporting solutions.
Develop executive-level and operational dashboards to support strategic and tactical decision-making.
Publish and manage governed datasets to enable self-service analytics for Finance and Billing Operations teams.
Business Intelligence & Visualisation
Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards , reports, and scorecards.
Create visual analytics covering:
Billing accuracy
Invoice processing performance
Revenue trends
Billing exceptions and disputes
Collections effectiveness
Customer billing behaviour
Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, performant, accessible, and aligned to business needs.
Improve reporting usability through effective layout, drilldowns, filters, KPIs, and storytelling.
Data Modelling & Analytics
Work with Snowflake and cloud-based data warehouse environments to support reporting and analytics needs.
Build, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, views, datasets, and reporting layers.
Support data modelling for billing, revenue, invoicing, collections, and reconciliation reporting.
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, lineage, and governance across MI/reporting outputs.
Perform analysis to identify trends, exceptions, operational bottlenecks, and performance insights.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with Finance, Billing Operations, Transformation, Technology, and Data teams.
Translate business reporting needs into clear technical specifications.
Present reporting outputs, insights, and recommendations to business and leadership stakeholders.
Support ongoing enhancements based on feedback, changing business needs, and transformation priorities.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Skills
Strong experience in Management Information (MI), Reporting, and Business Intelligence delivery.
Hands-on experience with Power BI dashboard and report development.
Strong experience working with Snowflake and cloud-based data warehousing platforms.
Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
Strong understanding of data modelling , reporting layers, governed datasets, and dashboard performance optimization.
Ability to design scalable reporting solutions for enterprise transformation programmes.
Functional / Domain Skills
Experience supporting one or more of the following:
Billing Transformation
Revenue Management
Order-to-Cash (O2C)
Invoicing
Finance Transformation
Billing Operations
Solid understanding of billing processes including:
Invoice generation
Billing accuracy
Receivables
Collections
Reconciliation
Billing exceptions and disputes
Ability to understand complex billing and finance data flows and translate them into meaningful reports and dashboards.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working on large-scale Billing Transformation , ERP Transformation , or Finance Modernisation programmes.
Knowledge of billing platforms such as:
Salesforce Billing
SAP BRIM
Oracle Billing
Zuora
Similar enterprise billing platforms
Understanding of Revenue Recognition and broader Order-to-Cash processes.
Experience in financial services, risk, information services, technology, SaaS, or subscription-based business environments.
Familiarity with data cataloguing and governance tools such as:
Collibra
Alation
Microsoft Purview
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
High attention to detail and data accuracy.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work with both business and technical teams.
Strong ownership mindset and ability to manage multiple reporting priorities.
Comfortable working in transformation environments with evolving requirements.
