Job Summary:

Manages the planning and execution of the preventive, predictive, and condition based maintenance of production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manages teams in the maintenance organization. Manages preventative maintenance processes to ensure equipment is available and capable. Develops performance standards and formulates staff development plans. Coaches and leads improvement activities. Manages department budgets. Manages spare parts and indirect materials inventory.

Equipment/Capital Procurement - Selects manufacturing equipment which meets the Cummins manufacturing specifications and meets the project or program needs.

Manufacturing Prognostics - Applies prognostics techniques by collecting real time equipment conditions and then use advanced analytics and artificial intelligence technologies to project future failures to eliminate unplanned equipment and systems down time.

Project Management - Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule and resources for a temporary effort (a “project”). Ensures results/impact from temporary effort are fully realized as possible.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

A STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or related bachelor degree or higher, required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Significant level of relevant work experience, including supervisory and leadership experience, required.

Maintenance & Reliability Excellence

Strong expertise in preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.

Proven track record of improving equipment uptime, OEE, and asset reliability.

Facility & Infrastructure Management

Experience managing plant utilities and infrastructure including HVAC, electrical systems, compressed air, water systems, fire protection, and building maintenance.

Statutory Compliance, EHS & Risk Management

In-depth knowledge of statutory requirements, safety regulations, contractor management, audits, and risk mitigation.

Ability to ensure compliance with Factory Act, Fire NOC, environmental and utility-related regulations.

Capital Project Management

Experience leading facility expansions, equipment installation, commissioning, and infrastructure projects.

Strong capabilities in project planning, budgeting, contractor management, and execution.

Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

Knowledge of TPM, Lean, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, and reliability improvement methodologies.

Ability to drive maintenance cost reduction and operational efficiency initiatives.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, develop technical talent, and collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, HSE, and global/external partners.

Financial & Strategic Acumen

Experience managing maintenance budgets, capex planning, lifecycle asset management, and cost optimization while supporting business growth and capacity expansion.
