•Program Ownership: Deliver well-defined scopes within New Product Introduction (NPI), Multi-year Agreement (MYA), Pivot to Value (P2V), and Repair programs with task-level accountability. Execute assigned workstreams on complex programs under senior guidance.
•Design & Analysis: Execute mechanical design and analysis of Hot Gas Path components per GE Vernova standards. Build, set up, and troubleshoot FEA models; verify and validate results with senior engineers as needed.
•Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with Heat Transfer, Aerodynamics, Manufacturing, Repair, and PDE teams on assigned component scopes to align on timelines and technical inputs.
•Lifing & Design Trade-offs: Apply LCF, HCF, Creep, Oxidation, and Crack Propagation methods to evaluate design margins. Support trade-offs across geometry, cost, performance, material, and producibility (DFMA).
•Design Reviews: Prepare technical review material and lead reviews for assigned scopes. Support CTH-led reviews on complex programs and submit initial reliability/risk assessment proposals.
•Validation Support: Support component-level or engine validation testing tied to assigned designs; incorporate test results into design conclusions and recommendations.
•Operational Excellence: Release and maintain drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation for assigned scopes, accurately and on schedule, per GE Vernova engineering policies. Support organizational initiatives as assigned.
•Hardware Ownership & Field Learnings: Serve as the designated point-of-contact for assigned Hot Gas Path hardware/components across their lifecycle. Track component performance and open items; incorporate DLE, Fleet Engineering, and Services learnings into ongoing design decisions for owned hardware.
•RCA & Issue Resolution: Support root cause analyses for field and manufacturing issues; contribute to resolving supplier quality or producibility concerns within your scope.
•Continuous Improvement & Cost-Out: Apply Lean principles to identify process improvements within your scope; contribute redesign ideas to Value Engineering and Product Cost-Out initiatives.
•Planning & Communication: Build and maintain task plans and first-cut execution schedules for assigned scopes. Report progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders on a regular cadence.
•Problem Solving & Escalation: Resolve well-defined technical challenges within scope, applying guidance from senior engineers where needed. Escalate complex issues promptly, with context and initial analysis.
•Mentorship & Knowledge Sharing: Mentor peers or newer engineers on assigned technical topics. Exchange feedback with team members on deliverables and technical approach.
