About the role

As a Integration Solution Architect, you’ll be a senior technical leader within Dyson’s Solution Architecture team, reporting to a Principal Solution Architect. You’ll set the direction for enterprise integration and interface solutions across a varied technology landscape, lead architects and engineers through complex delivery, and ensure our integration capabilities support Dyson’s global growth.

You’ll own integration solution architecture from discovery through delivery, designing secure, reusable interfaces across APIs, events, messaging, data exchange and batch or file-based patterns. Working across platforms including SAP Commerce, Salesforce, Adobe, SAP and other enterprise services, you’ll turn complex requirements into pragmatic roadmaps and high-quality solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.

Beyond individual solution design, you’ll provide technical leadership across the integration community: chairing design reviews, guiding delivery teams, coaching architects and engineers, and raising standards through clear governance. You’ll champion appropriate integration patterns, reusable assets, automation, observability and responsible innovation across MuleSoft and other integration technologies, while communicating trade-offs and recommendations confidently to senior technical and business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

Define and evolve Dyson’s enterprise integration strategy, reference architecture, standards and roadmap across integration technologies.
Lead solution architecture for complex integration initiatives from discovery and options assessment through implementation and operational handover.
Design scalable interfaces using the most appropriate patterns, including APIs, events, messaging, data synchronization, managed file transfer and batch integration.
Establish reusable patterns and assets for security, error handling, logging, monitoring, data transformation, versioning and lifecycle management.
Lead architecture and design reviews, challenge constructively, document key decisions and ensure solutions comply with enterprise, security and data standards.
Provide technical direction to architects, engineers, partners and suppliers; remove ambiguity, resolve complex design issues and maintain delivery quality.
Coach and mentor others through pairing, design critique and knowledge sharing, building a strong and inclusive integration engineering community.
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate outcomes and non-functional requirements into pragmatic architecture decisions and delivery plans.
Drive the reliability, performance and cost effectiveness of integration services through observability, capacity planning, automation and continual improvement.
Manage architectural risks, dependencies and technical debt, escalating decisions clearly and supporting delivery against agreed scope, quality and timelines.

About you

Prerequisite: significant hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform in complex, large-scale environments.
Broad knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, including RESTful and asynchronous APIs, event-driven integration, messaging, data transformation, managed file transfer, batch processing and hybrid integration.
Practical experience across relevant MuleSoft capabilities such as Anypoint Design Center, API Manager, Exchange, Runtime Manager and CloudHub or equivalent runtime models.
Experience selecting and applying appropriate integration technologies and patterns based on business outcomes, architecture principles and non-functional requirements.
A strong grasp of security, identity, resilience, performance, observability, CI/CD and automated testing for integration solutions.
Proven leadership of architects and engineers, including setting direction, delegating effectively, providing constructive challenge and developing others.
Experience governing solution designs and working with delivery partners or suppliers to achieve consistent engineering standards and outcomes.
The judgement to balance strategic architecture with pragmatic delivery, making clear decisions when requirements are incomplete or priorities compete.
Confident communication with senior stakeholders, with the ability to explain complex technical choices, risks and trade-offs in accessible language.
Experience integrating major enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, Adobe or comparable applications.
MuleSoft certification is desirable; equivalent evidence of deep MuleSoft expertise will also be considered.
A collaborative, inclusive and improvement-focused leadership style, with curiosity about automation, AI and emerging integration approaches.
