About the team and the role

The People Systems Operations Administrator supports the day-to-day work that keeps Stripe’s People technology running accurately and reliably. The role sits in the Service Delivery Center and works as part of the wider People Solutions team, with a close dotted-line partnership to People Solutions Systems Management.

You’ll own a defined set of routine tier 1 and tier 2 operational work across Workday and related People Systems. This includes monitoring support channels and system inboxes, triaging requests, completing repeatable administrative tasks, maintaining documentation, and routing complex issues to the right People Systems owner.

This is a hands-on operations role. It creates clearer separation between routine support work and the configuration, architecture, governance, and project delivery owned by the People Systems team.

What you’ll do

Support queue and request triage

Monitor the Salesforce case management queue and Jira requests for People Systems work.

Triage incoming requests by urgency, business impact, data sensitivity, and defined support process.

Resolve standard requests using documented procedures, and route exceptions or higher-complexity work to the appropriate People Systems owner.

Keep request records accurate and complete, including status updates, required approvals, supporting documentation, and clear handoffs.

Identify recurring request patterns and flag opportunities to improve documentation, self-service, or system processes.

Workday operations

Monitor the Workday inbox for business process errors, stuck transactions, alerts, and other operational issues.

Complete routine Workday support tasks, including standard access requests, account maintenance, and operational follow-up.

Support Salesforce and JIRA run work and respond to common People Systems questions using approved guidance.

Help with recurring operational tasks such as account monitoring, account resets, and quarterly account reviews.

Support year-end activity, including schedule extensions, alert configuration, audit requests, and tracking follow-up items.

Assist with release readiness by reviewing assigned Workday updates, completing test steps, documenting results, and escalating issues found during testing.

Support recurring People programs, such as performance-cycle launches, using established runbooks and checklists.

Reporting, documentation, and Jira support

Intake and triage Workday reporting and data requests. Confirm required information, route requests to the right owner, and provide status updates to requesters.

Complete standard reporting tasks and access-related requests where there is a documented process and appropriate approval.

Maintain runbooks, Trailhead content, standard operating procedures, and request templates so guidance stays current and easy to find.

Support data-quality checks and follow established processes to correct or escalate issues.

Partnership with People Systems

Work closely with People Systems analysts and engineers to understand support priorities, upcoming releases, recurring work, and escalation paths.

Provide clear handoffs for work that requires configuration changes, advanced reporting, integrations, security decisions, or policy interpretation.

Participate in regular reviews of queue trends, service levels, documentation gaps, and operational risks.

Build platform knowledge over time, with opportunities to take on more complex administration and configuration work as skills develop.

Minimum requirements

Experience in People operations, HR administration, systems support, service delivery, or another operations role involving high-volume, process-driven work.

Strong attention to detail, particularly where accuracy affects People records, access, payroll, compliance, or reporting.

Ability to work through a queue independently, prioritize requests, follow defined processes, and escalate issues at the right time.

Clear written communication and comfort giving requesters concise status updates.

Experience using Jira, Salesforce, or a similar case-management or ticketing tool.

Comfort learning enterprise systems and following structured procedures across multiple tools.

Strong organization skills and a consistent approach to documenting work and following requests through to resolution.

Good judgment when working with confidential information.

Preferred qualifications

Experience supporting Workday, including Core HCM, business processes, security administration, reporting, or Workday inbox monitoring.

Experience handling reporting requests, data access requests, and standard user provisioning.

Experience supporting cyclical People programs, compliance activities, audit requests, or system-release testing.

What success looks like

Within the first six months, you will:

Own the defined tier 1 and routine tier 2 People Systems queue work with accurate, timely resolution and clear escalation.

Establish dependable monitoring for People Systems tickets in Salesforce, JIRA, the Workday inbox, and recurring operational tasks.

Reduce avoidable handoffs and ensure complex work reaches the right People Systems owner with the context needed to act.

Keep core runbooks and self-service guidance current based on recurring request patterns.

Give People Systems analysts and engineers more capacity for configuration, governance, architecture, and strategic delivery work.
