Function Leader - Procurement (Purchase) Ahmedabad, INDIA | Position Code: 1214AF About the Role: We are looking for a Function Leader - Procurement (Purchase), who thrives in a high performance and fast paced technical environment. Being a key member of the organisational leadership team, you will be responsible for delivering Procurement function goals & objectives aligned to organisation strategy. What you'll deliver: Align function's spend and output to organization's financial goals Develop plans for all teams to ensure on-time delivery, within budget Evaluate functional work progress against the plan and make required course corrections Organise teams through different work shifts & support customers across time zones Compliance to company code of conduct in all purchase & store activities and immediately report non-compliance Develop and Implement Purchase and store processes for consumable, capital goods and services Develop and Implement "Request for Quotation" "Request for Proposal" documentation Develop and Implement supplier selection, competitive bidding & offer evaluation process Develop and Implement supply continuity risk mitigation framework Develop and Implement goods receipt, store and inventory management framework Develop and Implement Supplier compliance with statutory and customer requirements Optimise inventory and spend with demand forecast Develop and Implement, Purchase orders, purchase agreements and rate contracts frameworks Work with Supply Chain and Finance function to fulfil organisation needs and swift payments Lead swift resolution of non-conformance to minimise impact on project objectives Nurture quality mindset in your teams to deliver 'right first time' & 'on time in full' Define function goals, objectives & budget aligned to organisation strategy Develop, improve and implement standard operating procedures (SOP) and best practices Design and develop function's performance and improvement processes Embed lean & 5S visual work environment principles in processes Develop KPI structure to accurately measure function goals and objectives Conduct internal audit regularly, evaluate KPI trend and implement required corrections Recruit, induct, nurture & grow teams aligned to organisation development roadmap Develop learning material & organise discussion forums Organise structured learning programs and conduct skills & knowledge & competency assessments Propel higher performance and economic growth of your teams What you'll need: Passion for our Vision: Transform Manufacturing 10+ years of total working experience in related domain, of which 2+ years in leadership In-depth domain knowledge & competency gained at an education institution or self-learnt Development Knowledge & Competency of purchase & store organisation with P&L responsibilities Development Knowledge & Competency of purchase terms and conditions, bidding process & contracts Excellent analytical and negotiation skills in order to get the best price and value products and services In depth Understanding & Competency of application taxes, customs duty & statutory compliances Development Knowledge & Competency of high verity low volume store & inventory management Deep understanding & competency of quality management systems and ISO9001/AS9100 standards Development knowledge & competency of lean & six sigma principles Deep understanding & competency of engineering fundamentals and development of emerging technologies Deep understanding & competency of risk identification, risk management and the design of mitigation actions Flexibility to go beyond normal work hours in time of need and support other functions Must have: Exemplary conduct to earn trust and positively engage with cross functional teams Respectful behaviour and willingness to adapt company code of conduct Leadership quality to create positive environment for teams to do their best work and grow Initiative and courage to explore new ideas and learn from the mistakes Perfectionist approach and meticulous to the finest detail in everything that you do Clear and concise written & verbal English language communication as well as presentation skills Prompt and on-time communication of operational matters High proficiency in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams of other MS Office software Readiness work in different shifts as well as support customers in different time zone Nice to have: Experience in Engineering Purchase and Supply chain Experience of working with leading ERP software like - Epicor / SAP / NetSuite Great sense of humour
