Job Description Summary

GE HealthCare is seeking an experienced event leader to shape and deliver strategic programs for Advanced Imaging Solutions (AIS). This role owns a portfolio of national and international tradeshows, medical conferences, customer forums, executive engagements and product demonstrations. The Event Manager turns business priorities into measurable event plans and creates polished, compliant experiences that strengthen customer relationships and support AIS commercial goals. Success requires confident leadership across Marketing, Sales, Product Management, Communications and external partners in a large, matrixed organization.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Lead the full event lifecycle, from strategy and creative brief through planning, budget management, contracting, logistics, onsite execution, measurement and recommendations.

Direct major tradeshow and exhibit programs, including booth strategy, floor plans, meeting spaces, signage, audiovisual needs, product demonstrations, shipping, installation and dismantling.

Partner with Sales and Marketing to design customer forums, advisory meetings, executive experiences and meeting plans, with clear lead capture and post-event follow-up.

Create customer experiences that clearly demonstrate how AIS solutions support diagnosis, intervention, workflow efficiency and clinical decision-making.

Manage agencies, exhibit houses, venues, production teams and suppliers; set scopes and schedules, monitor deliverables, and resolve issues while maintaining budget discipline.

Manage event registration and attendee communications in Cvent, coordinate campaign and lead workflows, and use Workfront to manage related event processes.

Build operating plans for staffing, registration, travel, housing, catering, purchase orders, risk, accessibility and contingency response.

Lead onsite teams and operations, making timely decisions to protect customer experience, event objectives and safety.

Measure attendance, engagement, meetings, lead activity, spend and feedback; communicate results and practical recommendations to stakeholders.

Apply company policies and healthcare industry requirements for privacy, promotional review, compliance, brand standards and customer interactions.

Improve repeatable event practices and provide guidance to coordinators and cross-functional partners as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

5+ years of progressive event planning and management experience, including independent ownership of complex corporate events in a large or matrixed organization.

Demonstrated success leading national or international tradeshows, conferences, customer programs or executive events across multiple concurrent workstreams.

Hands-on experience with Cvent and Workfront in event registration, marketing campaign and lead follow-up, and relevant corporate workflows.

Experience managing event budgets, timelines, contracts, agencies, vendors and onsite operations.

Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and communicate clearly with senior leaders, customers and suppliers.

Sound judgment, attention to detail and the ability to manage changing priorities, resolve issues and deliver through peak event periods.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally 20-30% of the time, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare, medical devices, life sciences, or another regulated industry.

Experience supporting hybrid events, lead-retrieval tools and event performance reporting.

Ability to translate technical or clinical information into clear, engaging customer experiences.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $89,600.00-$134,400.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
