Designer III - Embedded Hardware

Experience: 4 to 6 Years Location: Bangalore & Pune Positions: 1 Employment Type: Full-time Role: Designer III – Engineering Design Band: A3 Account: Visteon Desired Competencies: • Experience: o 4 to 6 years of overall engineering experience in hardware development. • Responsibilities: o Oversee the design and development of electronic products, guiding them through various stages of the development cycle until they are ready for production. • Technical Skills: o Proficiency in analog/digital interfacing and power supply design. o Experience with TFT display, touch sense controllers, and image correction controllers interfacing. o Implementation of system-level power-up/power-down sequences. o Knowledge of thermal design considerations and management at both PCB and product levels. o Competence in communication transceiver interface, routing, and filter selection for HS-CAN, GMSL, APIX, and Ethernet. o Familiarity with on-board interfaces like SPI, I2C, and UART. (communication protocols) o Understanding of automotive EMC requirements and design considerations. • Attributes: o Quick learner with the ability to acquire new skills based on project needs. o Proactive, hands-on individual driven by success and capable of building strong relationships. Job Responsibilities: • Design and develop circuit schematics for automotive products, including display control, automotive instrument clusters • Develop automotive EMC-compliant products. • Conduct worst-case analysis, thermal design, and parts selection for cost-competitive designs. • Interface SoC, DDR, NOR/NAND Flash, and high-end microcontrollers. • Coordinate with cross-functional teams. • Prepare EMC test plans, perform tests, and analyze EMC test results. • Support Root Cause Corrective Actions (RCCAs) and defect prevention. • Candidate Qualities: o Self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and effective communication skills. o Strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. o Proven track record of working successfully under pressure in time-constrained environments. • Skilled, highly professional engineer capable of working collaboratively with an international team, including software development and product management/development.
