Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Manager specializing in Loan Against Property (LAP) to manage and optimize our credit portfolio. This role involves assessing creditworthiness, mitigating risks, and ensuring the timely and efficient processing of LAP applications while adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:**

Lead the end-to-end credit assessment process for Loan Against Property applications, including financial analysis, property valuation, and borrower profiling.
Develop and implement robust credit policies, procedures, and underwriting guidelines specifically tailored for LAP products.
Conduct thorough risk assessments, identify potential credit risks, and propose effective mitigation strategies.
Manage and monitor the existing LAP portfolio, including delinquency tracking, recovery strategies, and portfolio quality analysis.
Collaborate closely with sales, operations, and legal teams to ensure seamless processing and compliance.
Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape affecting the LAP sector.
Prepare detailed credit reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
Train and mentor junior credit analysts on best practices for LAP credit evaluation.
Ensure adherence to all internal credit policies, external regulations, and compliance requirements.

Job Qualifications:**

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA) is a plus.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in credit management, with a significant focus on Loan Against Property (LAP) products.
Proven expertise in financial statement analysis, credit underwriting, and risk management specific to real estate-backed lending.
Strong understanding of property valuation methods, legal aspects of property collateral, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex credit decisions clearly.
Proficiency in credit analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
