Specialist II - Embedded Software

Position: Technical Architect Domain: Automotive Embedded Systems / Android & Linux Platforms Experience Required: 15+ Years About the Role We are looking for an experienced Technical Architect to lead the design, documentation, and technical direction of embedded automotive platforms. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across Linux internals, Android framework, and embedded system design, combined with strong automotive domain experience and the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation for cross-functional and customer-facing use. Key Responsibilities • Own end-to-end technical architecture design for embedded automotive platforms, including system-level design decisions, trade-off analysis, and technology selection • Author and review key technical documentation including Technical Commercial Proposal (TCP), Software Requirement Specifications (SRS), and detailed Architecture Design documents • Provide architectural guidance and hands-on troubleshooting for Linux kernel internals, device drivers, and Board Support Package (BSP) development and bring-up • Guide design and integration efforts across the Android Framework and Application layers, ensuring alignment with platform and product requirements Review and mentor development teams on C/C++/Java implementation, ensuring code quality, performance, and adherence to architectural guidelines • Collaborate with hardware, systems, and platform teams to define embedded system architecture, covering boot flow, power management, security, and performance optimization • Support functional safety, cybersecurity, and SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) initiatives as they relate to platform architecture • Participate in schematics and Gerber file reviews to ensure hardware-software co-design alignment (where applicable) • Engage with customers/stakeholders to translate business and functional requirements into robust technical architecture • Drive technical risk identification and mitigation planning across the product lifecycle
