We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Product Manager to support the Ancillary Benefits Management data platform, which serves as the technical foundation and orchestration layer for multiple healthcare managed-service offerings.
The Senior Technical Product Manager will translate prioritized product initiatives and features into clear, executable work for a large, cross-functional engineering organization. This role is accountable for maintaining a healthy and implementation-ready backlog, decomposing complex platform capabilities into manageable features and user stories, facilitating requirements clarification and grooming, and ensuring work is prepared for Program Increment planning and delivery.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, technically curious, proactive, and comfortable operating in a complex environment involving healthcare data, enterprise integrations, multiple engineering workstreams, and cross-functional stakeholders. This role requires someone who can identify ambiguity, close requirements gaps, build consensus, and drive work from concept through execution.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Product execution and backlog readiness - Partner with Strategic Product Management to translate product priorities, initiatives, and parent features into executable engineering work
•Own backlog readiness for the assigned ABM Platform engineering domain
•Independently manage product execution and backlog readiness across multiple engineering teams operating within the assigned platform domain
•Decompose complex platform capabilities and features into manageable user stories, enablers, and technical work
•Develop clear user stories, acceptance criteria, business rules, process flows, and nonfunctional requirements in partnership with Engineering and subject-matter experts
•Lead backlog-refinement and requirements-grooming sessions
•Ensure work is sufficiently defined, estimated, prioritized, sequenced, and ready before PI and sprint planning
•Maintain traceability across initiatives, features, user stories, dependencies, PI commitments, and delivered capabilities
•Keep product and Agile delivery tools current and aligned, including Aha and Rally
•Cross-functional delivery - Serve as a trusted product partner to Engineering, Architecture, Operations, Implementation, and other business and technology stakeholders
•Facilitate requirements clarification and drive timely resolution of gaps, conflicts, and unresolved decisions
•Manage dependencies across engineering workstreams, platform services, integrations, data domains, and partner teams
•Identify technical, operational, and delivery risks early and drive appropriate mitigation or escalation
•Track progress against PI commitments and communicate changes, blockers, tradeoffs, and delivery impacts clearly
•Coordinate with product and engineering leaders to balance customer needs, operational requirements, technical constraints, performance, and platform sustainability
•Coordinate effectively across India- and U.S.-based teams, providing clear written updates and facilitating decisions across time zones
•Technical product management - Develop a working understanding of assigned ABM Platform capabilities, end-to-end data flows, integrations, interfaces, and downstream consumers
•Partner with Engineering and Architecture to evaluate implementation approaches and translate technical decisions into actionable backlog work
•Ensure API, data-model, mapping, integration, configuration, and interface requirements are documented and reflected in appropriate engineering artifacts
•Support integration testing, automation, release readiness, and implementation validation by verifying that requirements and acceptance criteria are complete
•Ensure changes affecting shared platform capabilities are traceable and communicated to impacted stakeholders
•Engineering Partnership and Technical Leadership - Serve as the day-to-day product counterpart for Engineering leadership within the assigned platform domain.
•Build trusted working relationships with Engineering Managers, Architects, Technical Leads, and developers
•Facilitate decisions across Product and Engineering when requirements, architecture, delivery priorities, or implementation approaches are unclear
•Drive alignment across distributed teams and create clarity when ownership or direction is ambiguous
•Earn credibility through preparation, responsiveness, technical curiosity, and consistent follow-through
•Influence without direct authority while maintaining momentum on complex initiatives
•Agile Planning and Delivery Leadership - Lead feature refinement, dependency management, PI readiness, and sprint planning activities for assigned engineering domains
•Partner with Engineering leadership to identify delivery risks, capacity constraints, sequencing challenges, and cross-team dependencies
•Facilitate Program Increment planning activities and ensure priorities are translated into executable engineering commitments
•Drive accountability for action items, open questions, and delivery commitments
•Proactively identify impediments and coordinate resolution before they affect delivery outcomes
•Continuous improvement - Improve backlog quality, requirements discipline, traceability, and delivery predictability
•Identify recurring execution gaps and recommend practical improvements to product-management and engineering-delivery processes
•Build transparent, collaborative relationships across distributed teams
•Use evidence, delivery data, and stakeholder input to support recommendations and decisions
•Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements
Required Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
•7+ years of experience in technical product management, product ownership, product management, business systems analysis, or technology delivery
•Experience working directly with engineering leadership, architects, and distributed development teams
•Experience supporting PI planning, dependency management, and scaled Agile delivery
•Experience managing and prioritizing backlogs in an Agile product-development environment
•Experience partnering directly with engineering teams to clarify requirements and drive work through planning and delivery
•Experience with Agile and portfolio-management tools such as Aha, Rally, Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
•Demonstrated experience decomposing complex capabilities or features into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
•Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions and drive alignment across multiple engineering teams
•Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate end-to-end technical concepts, including data flows, APIs, integrations, cloud platforms, or enterprise systems
•Demonstrated solid facilitation, written communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
•Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, cross-team dependencies, and delivery risks
