Experience

8-12 years of experience in Quality Engineering and Test Automation with strong handson automation expertise and solid functional testing capability

Role Summary

Senior handson Automation Specialist responsible for developing and enhancing Playwrightbased automation solutions using JavaScriptTypeScript across Web API and complex endtoend business workflows The role will primarily focus on automation engineering while also performing functional testing integration validation and technical guidance as required

Design develop enhance and maintain Playwright automation using JavaScriptTypeScript

Automate WebUI API and complex endtoend business workflows across integrated applications

Analyze requirements and application flows design test scenarios and identify appropriate automation coverage

Perform functionalmanual and exploratory testing where required

Develop and enhance reusable automation components utilities and regression suites aligned with enterprise framework standards

Contribute to automation framework enhancements and implementation of standards defined by the Test Architect

Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to automation engineering and coding standards

Integrate automated tests with CICD pipelines and support continuous test execution

Troubleshoot complex automation failures and applicationintegration issues and support rootcause analysis

Perform API backend and data validation using APIs and SQL

Support test estimation automation planning execution defect management and release validation

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to automation engineers

Collaborate with Test Architects Engineering DevOps and QE teams to deliver reliable endtoend automation

Mandatory Skills

8-12 years of experience in Quality EngineeringTest Automation

Strong handson expertise in Playwright with JavaScriptTypeScript

Strong experience in WebUI and API test automation

Solid functionalmanual testing capability covering requirement analysis test design execution and defect management

Experience automating and validating complex endtoend business workflows across integrated applications

Strong understanding of web technologies APIs and application integration concepts

Experience developing and enhancing reusable automation framework components

Strong experience integrating automated tests with CICD pipelines using Azure DevOps Jenkins GitLab CICD or equivalent

Proficiency with Gitversion control and modern engineering practices

Working knowledge of SQL and backenddata validation

Experience with code reviews debugging and rootcause analysis

Strong analytical problemsolving communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

GoodtoHave Skills

Experience with Selenium or other test automation frameworks

Experience with BDDCucumber and JavaScript testing libraries such as MochaChai or equivalent

Experience in Mobile testingautomation using Appium BrowserStack or equivalent

Experience with Azure DevOps Jira Zephyr Xray Sauce Labs or similar platforms

Exposure to testing microservices eventdriven systems and complex application integrations

Exposure to service virtualization mocking and testdata management

Experience using GenAIassisted codingtesting tools for test generation automation development debugging and productivity improvement

Exposure to additional programming languages such as Java or Python

Experience mentoring juniormidlevel automation engineers
