Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities include:

Primary Responsibilities:

Performing admin activities in data protection matters and support the client’s Data Protection Officer (DPO) team in ensuring compliance with GDPR, Data Protection Acts, ePrivacy Regulations, and other global privacy laws.
Interact directly with client stakeholders and customers on data protection cases.
Support responses to regulatory complaints, investigations, and information requests.
Knowledge of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and compliance audits.
Coordinate responses to data breaches with legal, IT, and privacy teams.
Maintain and track compliance improvement activities and privacy KPIs.
Draft and update internal data protection policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Assist in developing training materials and awareness programs on data privacy.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and recommend process improvements.
Hands-on experience with privacy platforms such as OneTrust, BigID, Osano, DataGrail (preferred).

Secondary Responsibilities:

Exposure to legal operations and litigation support (e.g., subpoenas, legal holds, eDiscovery, document review).
Support contract management activities including review, compliance checks, and risk analysis.
Ensure SLA adherence, quality compliance, and governance reporting.
Contribute to client presentations.
Drive innovation through automation and AI/GenAI in privacy processes.

Qualification and other experience:

Education and Experience: Minimum LLB/ LLM from a premier Law university with a minimum of 6 years of experience in Legal Outsourcing industry including 4+ years of experience in data protection, privacy law, or information governance
Certifications: CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, or CISSP preferred.
Excellent legal knowledge on various Data Privacy regulations and experience in heading the various Data Privacy and Data Protection projects, legal ops and litigation support processes and workflows (including Subpoena, Legal hold, garnishment, eDiscovery and document review), experience in Legal research
Preferred experience in end-to-end Contract Management in Legal Drafting, Negotiation, contract review and administration, contractual risk analysis, contractual/legal compliance with exposure to various industries and multiple geographies.
Efficient and hands on experience using industry standard Tools
Exposed to quality parameters, SLA management and governance structure
Well-rounded experience across legal transformation, process excellence and #digitallegal.
Very good client facing & stakeholder and change management skills
Able to pick up process knowledge, workflows, operating procedures, and manager’s instructions
Ability to lead teams with high impact communication, resource planning, excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
Hands on experience in service delivery & senior stakeholder engagement
Flexible to work in shifts as per the project requirements
