Lead II - Cloud Infrastructure Services

Cloud Engineering, Network Infrastructure Management: Configure, maintain, and optimize the IBM Communication Server for z/OS environment, ensuring stable communication via VTAM and TCP/IP protocols. • High Availability & Routing Administration: Implement and manage advanced IBM TCP/IP functionalities, including Sysplex Distributor, z/OS Policy Agent (PAGENT), OSPF routing protocols, and SNMP network monitoring. • Mainframe Certificate Management: Oversee and execute Mainframe Certificate Management lifecycle tasks using the GSKKYMAN utility, establishing, renewing, and implementing secure key rings, SSL/TLS certificates, and cryptographic keys to protect network communications. • Secure File Transfer Oversight: Administer enterprise-grade Mainframe File Transfer Technologies, supporting automated and ad-hoc transmissions using IBM Connect:Direct and secure IBM FTPS channels. • Session & Management Tooling Support: Maintain, upgrade, and customize network third-party utilities, specifically the NC-Access session manager (Quest Software) and the Syncsort ZEN Network Management Suite. • Network Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Conduct root-cause analysis on highly complex connectivity, latency, and performance anomalies using comprehensive Mainframe TRACE analysis (including Packet, Component, and OSA traces) alongside z/OS diagnostic tools. • Project Support & Compliance: Act as the core mainframe networking resource for internal infrastructure upgrades and disaster recovery testing, while producing technical documentation compliant with regional and global regulatory policies. Required Technical Skills & Qualifications • Core Operating Systems: Deep technical knowledge of the IBM z/OS operating system architecture and system libraries. • Communications Server: Expert-level capabilities in IBM Communication Server for z/OS, with extensive hands-on experience tuning VTAM (SNA) and TCP/IP stacks. • Advanced TCP/IP Subsystems: Strong competency configuring Sysplex Distributor for workload balancing, z/OS Policy Agent for network policies/AT-TLS, OSPF for dynamic routing, and SNMP integrations. • Certificate & Security Tooling: Proven experience with Mainframe Certificate Management and the GSKKYMAN utility for generating, installing, and managing digital certificates, keys, and key database files. • Data Movement Protocols: Demonstrated experience setting up, securing, and maintaining IBM Connect:Direct and IBM FTPS systems. • Network Software Management: Direct experience administering NC-Access (Quest Software) and utilizing the Syncsort ZEN Network Management Suite for real-time infrastructure visibility. • Problem Determination: Advanced diagnostic background executing and interpreting Mainframe TRACES to quickly resolve high-priority network incidents. • Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in REXX, CLIST, or JCL to build scripts that automate routine network systems programming tasks.
