Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cypress Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in automation testing, manual testing, and modern CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing robust test automation frameworks while ensuring the quality and reliability of web applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress.
Execute and support frontend and backend testing activities.
Validate REST APIs using Cypress and/or Postman.
Perform database validation and data verification using SQL queries.
Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with developers for issue resolution.
Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.
Create and maintain test documentation, reports, and quality metrics.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 6+ years of experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance.
Strong hands-on experience in Cypress Automation Testing.
Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Experience in REST API testing using Cypress or Postman.
Strong knowledge of Git/Bitbucket version control systems.
Good understanding of SQL for database validation and testing.
Experience working with CI/CD tools such as:
Jenkins
Azure DevOps
GitHub Actions
GitLab CI/CD
Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Strong debugging, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on experience in both Frontend and Backend Manual Testing.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Playwright Automation Testing.
Experience working in the Retail Domain.
Exposure to test framework design and automation best practices.
