Functional BSA - Oracle EBS Financials Location India - Offshore Experience 6-10 years Role level Senior Functional BSA Primary focus Oracle EBS Financials functional, regression, integration and user acceptance testing Role Summary The Functional Business Systems Analyst will support functional validation and end-to-end business testing for the Oracle E-Business Suite upgrade. The role will work with Finance process owners, business users, functional and technical teams, and the test team to confirm that critical financial processes, controls, customisations, reports, interfaces, workflows and integrations operate as expected in the upgraded environment. Key Responsibilities Functional impact assessment • Assess upgrade impacts across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and E-Business Tax. • Review existing finance processes, configurations, controls, responsibilities, workflows, reports, interfaces and customisations. • Identify critical business scenarios and areas requiring focused regression coverage. Test planning and preparation • Define detailed test scenarios, scripts, test data and expected outcomes. • Maintain requirements-to-test traceability and ensure adequate coverage of standard and customised processes. • Prepare scenarios for procure-to-pay, invoice processing, payments, receivables, cash reconciliation, tax, accounting, period close and intercompany processing. Test execution and defect management • Execute and coordinate functional, system integration, regression and user acceptance testing. • Record testing evidence and manage defects through triage, investigation, retesting and closure. • Work with technical and functional teams to validate fixes and assess downstream impacts. Business engagement and readiness • Facilitate test walkthroughs, business-user sessions and defect-review meetings. • Coordinate testing across applicable ledgers, legal entities, operating units and integrations. • Support business sign-off, cutover validation, production verification and early-life support. Required Skills and Experience • Strong hands-on Oracle EBS Financials expertise in GL, AP, AR, CM. • Experience delivering functional testing for Oracle EBS upgrade or transformation programmes. • Ability to understand end-to-end finance processes and dependencies across modules and external systems. • Experience creating test scenarios, scripts, traceability, evidence and completion reporting. • Strong defect analysis, stakeholder facilitation and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and coordinate Finance SMEs, testers and technical teams. Desirable Experience • Experience with an Oracle EBS 12.1 to 12.2 upgrade. • Exposure to global, multi-ledger or multi-entity finance environments
