Scope of Services The Supplier shall provide experienced Mechanical Engineering resources to support complex mechanical design, analysis, and development activities. Services will be delivered with minimal supervision and include technical leadership where required. 2. Roles & Responsibilities The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the following activities: Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot complex mechanical problems with limited supervision. Define, coordinate, execute, and document engineering tests and test reports. Develop, design, and modify complex mechanical layouts, schematics, drawings, and specifications. Perform detailed mechanical engineering analyses involving complex problem statements. Provide technical leadership and/or execution for assigned engineering projects. Develop and manage key suppliers and generate detailed mechanical product specifications. Design, develop, and implement custom mechanical tooling and fixturing solutions. Enable handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, sub‑assemblies, and final assemblies. Establish and document standards across operational and engineering processes. Specify, review, and approve engineering documentation for accuracy and compliance. Implement mechanical concepts to resolve complex product and system-level issues. Communicate complex or sensitive technical information clearly and effectively; collaborate cross‑functionally and build consensus. Create 3D models, detailed designs, and engineering drawings using UG/NX (Unigraphics/NX). Perform detailed engineering analysis on mechanical systems, tooling, and fixtures. 3. Deliverables The Supplier shall ensure timely delivery of the following outputs: Engineering drawings, layouts, and schematics Mechanical design documentation and specifications Engineering analysis reports Test plans, execution documentation, and test reports Tooling and fixturing designs with supporting documentation Standardized procedures and process documentation Technical inputs and recommendations for supplier and product development activities 4. Skill & Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field 5 to 8 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience Demonstrated hands-on experience with: CAD tools (UG/NX preferred) Sheet metal design Material selection Manufacturing methods GD&T Flow analysis and/or Design for Excellence (DFX) principles Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of the Applied Materials product lifecycle, including: Prototyping Packaging Material selection 5. Acceptance Criteria Deliverables will be considered accepted when: Outputs meet documented requirements and technical specifications Designs and reports comply with applicable engineering standards Documentation is complete, reviewed, and approved by the client’s engineering stakeholders Milestones are met as per the agreed delivery plan 6. Governance & Reporting Regular status updates and review meetings as agreed (weekly/monthly) Clear tracking of milestones, risks, and dependencies Escalation of issues in a timely manner
