About the job

Design Beyond the Screen.

What does it take to make complex satellite imagery and

AI-powered intelligence intuitive to use?

At GalaxEye, we’re building software that transforms Earth

observation data into actionable intelligence. We’re looking for a UI/UX Design

Intern to help shape our geospatial intelligence and image analysis platform.

This isn't just about designing screens. You'll work at the

intersection of product thinking, complex workflows, and engineering—turning

intricate analytical processes into interfaces that are consistent, intuitive,

and ready to be built.

Requirements

What You'll Do

Design

user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces using

Figma.

Improve

existing layouts, navigation, panels, toolbars, tables, modals, and

analytical workflows.

Build

and maintain a reusable design system covering components, typography,

colours, spacing, and interaction states.

Prepare

implementation-ready designs with clear specifications, behaviours, and

edge cases.

Collaborate

with Product and Engineering to resolve design ambiguities and identify

implementation constraints early.

Review

implemented interfaces against approved designs and identify visual or

functional inconsistencies.

Use

team feedback to improve usability, consistency, and the

design-to-development process.

What We're Looking For

Pursuing

or recently completed a degree in Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a

related field.

Proficiency

in Figma, including Auto Layout, components, variants, and prototyping.

Understanding

of visual hierarchy, interaction design, and design systems.

Ability

to think beyond individual screens and account for complete workflows,

edge cases, and varying screen sizes.

Strong

attention to detail and openness to feedback and iteration.

A

portfolio demonstrating your design process and problem-solving approach.

Good to Have

Experience

designing dashboards, enterprise applications, or data-intensive

interfaces.

Familiarity

with design tokens, accessibility, or basic HTML/CSS.

Interest

in geospatial technology, GIS, satellite imagery, or AI-powered products.

Benefits

What You'll Gain

Hands-on

ownership of meaningful design improvements to a real-world space-tech

product.

Direct

collaboration with Product and Engineering, seeing your designs evolve

into working software.

Experience

building design systems and solving real-world UX challenges in a

technically complex domain.
