We are seeking an experienced business process manager and data analyst to support our Enterprise Architecture team in designing, documenting, and standardizing system architecture across the organization. In this role, you'll work with multiple teams to translate complex technical and business systems into clear, standards-based visual documentation using industry-leading tools and methodologies. This is a position focused on hands-on architecture modeling, documentation, and team enablement. [hr align="center" size="2" width="100%"] Key Responsibilities Architecture Modeling & Documentation Create and maintain ArchiMate diagrams to represent enterprise system architecture across multiple viewpoints (business, application, technology, physical) Use Bizzdesign Horizzon to document architecture, process flows, and data flow diagrams Ensure all architecture documentation adheres to organizational standards and best practices Business Process Documentation Assist teams in identifying and mapping correct APQC business processes supported by their applications Create and refine BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) diagrams that accurately represent business processes Bridge communication between business and technical teams through process documentation Standards & Governance Support Support the Enterprise Architecture team in managing and evolving diagram documentation standards Review submitted architectures for compliance with organizational guidelines, notation standards, and technical accuracy Provide constructive feedback and guidance to teams on best practices for architecture documentation Maintain consistency across the organization's architecture repository Team Enablement Coach and assist business and technical teams in using ArchiMate notation effectively Train teams on BPMN standards and best practices Mentor teams on leveraging enterprise architecture tools for their documentation needs [hr align="center" size="2" width="100%"] Required Qualifications Experience 3+ years of practical, hands-on experience with solution architecture documentation Demonstrated experience creating ArchiMate diagrams (must show portfolio examples or similar) Demonstrated experience creating BPMN diagrams and process modeling Hands-on experience with Bizzdesign or similar enterprise architecture modeling tools (e.g., Sparx EA, LucidChart for enterprise use, BiZZdesign, Mega) Technical Knowledge Moderate technical knowledge of system infrastructure: Cloud platforms and on-premises deployment models Storage, database, and data warehouse concepts Integration technologies and approaches Authentication and authorization mechanisms Data classification and governance principles Core Competencies Technical writing skills—ability to document complex concepts clearly and concisely Strong grasp of architecture notation standards (ArchiMate, BPMN) Ability to translate business requirements into technical architecture and process models Attention to detail with documentation accuracy and consistency Excellent communication skills—comfortable working with both business and technical stakeholders [hr align="center" size="2" width="100%"] Preferred Qualifications Experience with APQC Process Classification Framework (PCF) Familiarity with other architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, The Open Group standards) Experience in solution architecture roles (solutions architect, enterprise architect) Knowledge of data integration patterns (ETL, APIs, event-driven architectures) Experience mentoring or training teams on architecture standards Exposure to enterprise governance and compliance frameworks [hr align="center" size="2" width="100%"] Technical Skills & Tools Essential: Bizzdesign Horizzon or equivalent enterprise architecture modeling platform ArchiMate notation (v3.0 or later preferred) BPMN 2.0 Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Visio or equivalent) Beneficial: Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect Lucidchart or similar diagramming tools Confluence, SharePoint, or wiki-based documentation platforms Version control or document management systems Basic SQL or database query experience [hr align="center" size="2" width="100%"] Work Environment & Arrangement Type: Contract position Schedule: [Specify: Full-time, Part-time, or Project-based] Location: [Specify: Remote, On-site, or Hybrid] Duration: [Specify: e.g., 3-6 months, ongoing, etc.] Reporting to: Architecture, Risk and Compliance in GIS [hr align="center" size="2" width="100%"] What Success Looks Like In the first 90 days, you will: Become familiar with the organization's current architecture documentation standards and tool setup Successfully create or review 5+ sets of architecture or process diagrams with minimal revisions Train at least 2 teams on ArchiMate or BPMN best practices Contribute to refining or documenting standards for the team Over the full engagement: Maintain a library of high-quality, standards-compliant architecture diagrams Demonstrate measurable improvement in architecture documentation quality across the organization Build strong collaborative relationships with business and technical teams Provide constructive feedback that elevates the team's capability in architecture modeling
