We are currently seeking a Senior Jama Connect Administrator / Enterprise Integration & AI Automation Engineer to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Senior Jama Connect Administrator / Enterprise Integration & AI Automation Engineer

Experience: 5–8+ years of overall IT experience, including 3+ years of hands-on experience in ALM/PLM administration, enterprise integrations, or engineering systems

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Jama Connect Administrator / Enterprise Integration & AI Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Jama Connect administration, enterprise middleware integrations, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI Agent development, and agent orchestration .

The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering and optimizing the Jama Connect platform, designing and implementing integrations across enterprise engineering and ALM/PLM platforms, and developing AI-powered automation solutions to improve requirements management, traceability, engineering productivity, and operational efficiency.

This is a hands-on technical role requiring a combination of Jama Connect platform expertise, API and middleware integration skills, MCP development, and modern Generative AI/Agentic AI engineering capabilities .

Key Responsibilities

Jama Connect Administration & Engineering

Administer, configure, maintain, and optimize the Jama Connect platform.

Manage user provisioning, roles, permissions, licenses, groups, and access controls.

Configure and maintain projects, workflows, item types, relationships, review processes, baselines, and reusable templates .

Support enterprise requirements management processes, including requirements authoring, traceability, baselining, reviews, approvals, and reporting .

Develop and maintain integrations and automation using Jama Connect REST APIs .

Troubleshoot platform configuration, performance, integration, authentication, and user-access issues.

Establish and maintain platform governance, configuration standards, change management processes, and administration best practices.

Partner with engineering and business teams to improve requirements management and end-to-end traceability.

Enterprise Middleware Integration – ConnectALL / OpsHub

Design, implement, configure, and maintain enterprise integrations using ConnectALL and/or OpsHub Integration Manager .

Integrate Jama Connect with platforms such as Jira, ServiceNow, ALM/PLM tools, engineering systems, and other enterprise applications .

Configure field mappings, workflow synchronization, transformation rules, relationship mappings, and bidirectional data exchange .

Develop API-based integrations using REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, OAuth, tokens, and other authentication mechanisms .

Monitor integration health and proactively troubleshoot synchronization failures, mapping errors, API issues, and data inconsistencies.

Design scalable integration architectures that ensure data consistency, security, reliability, and end-to-end traceability .

Develop reusable integration patterns and technical documentation to support long-term platform scalability.

Model Context Protocol (MCP) Development

Design and develop MCP servers, connectors, tools, and resources to securely expose enterprise platform capabilities to AI applications.

Integrate Jama Connect and other ALM/PLM platforms with MCP-compatible AI clients and AI Agents .

Implement MCP tools, resources, and prompts to provide controlled access to enterprise engineering information.

Build secure mechanisms for authentication, authorization, API interaction, audit logging, and access governance.

Enable AI-driven retrieval, analysis, summarization, and controlled updates of requirements, relationships, reviews, and traceability information .

Implement appropriate security controls to ensure AI Agents access only authorized enterprise data and functionality.

Develop reusable MCP integration patterns for additional enterprise platforms and engineering applications.

AI Agent Development & Orchestration

Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI Agents and Agentic AI solutions for engineering and enterprise automation use cases.

Develop agent workflows incorporating reasoning, tool calling, API execution, workflow orchestration, and state/context management .

Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) with Jama Connect and enterprise systems through APIs and MCP.

Build multi-step and, where applicable, multi-agent workflows to automate complex engineering and requirements-management processes.

Implement human-in-the-loop approvals, guardrails, access controls, observability, logging, exception handling, and recovery mechanisms .

Develop AI-assisted capabilities for requirements analysis, traceability validation, impact analysis, review support, and engineering productivity.

Evaluate AI Agent accuracy, reliability, security, latency, scalability, and operational performance .

Establish appropriate testing and monitoring approaches for production AI solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

5–8+ years of overall IT experience with at least 3+ years in ALM/PLM administration, enterprise engineering platforms, or system integrations .

5+ years of strong hands-on experience administering and configuring Jama Connect .

Experience with Jama Connect concepts including:

Requirements management

Item types and relationships

Workflows

Reviews and approvals

Baselines

Traceability

Templates

User/role/permission administration

3+ years of strong experience with Jama Connect REST APIs and API-driven automation.

Hands-on experience with ConnectALL and/or OpsHub Integration Manager .

Experience integrating enterprise applications such as Jama Connect, Jira, ServiceNow, and ALM/PLM platforms .

Strong knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, OAuth/API authentication, and bidirectional system integrations .

Hands-on development experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) , including MCP servers, tools, resources, and enterprise connectors.

Experience developing AI Agents / Agentic AI applications using modern LLM frameworks and APIs.

Strong understanding of AI Agent orchestration, tool calling, workflow execution, context/state management, and human-in-the-loop patterns .

Experience integrating LLMs with enterprise applications, APIs, structured data sources, and engineering platforms.

Understanding of enterprise security principles including authentication, authorization, RBAC, auditing, data privacy, and secure API access .

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, solution-design, and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or similar programming languages for API integration and automation.

Experience with AI/Agent frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or equivalent frameworks .

Experience with enterprise Generative AI platforms such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, or similar LLM platforms .

Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), embeddings, vector databases, enterprise search, and knowledge grounding .

Experience implementing secure AI solutions in enterprise environments.

Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, DevOps practices, containers, and cloud deployment models.

Experience working with engineering, product development, quality, regulatory, or systems engineering teams.

Experience in regulated industries such as Life Sciences, Medical Devices, Healthcare, Automotive, Aerospace, or Manufacturing would be an advantage.

The candidate should be capable of owning the complete technical lifecycle—from Jama platform administration and enterprise system integration through MCP enablement and development of secure, production-ready AI Agent workflows .
