As an organization, we are committed to our purpose as one firm, united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: About the Role As a QA Engineer within the Assessment Solutions business, you will play an important role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of the Aon Assessment Platform — the enterprise solution for accurate and fair workforce assessments at scale, used by millions of participants worldwide. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and fellow QA team members to design and execute testing strategies, identify defects early, and contribute to building a platform that delivers a superior experience for candidates and administrators alike. Key Responsibilities Test Planning & Design Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans and test cases for web-based applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage of functional and non-functional requirements. Identify test scenarios — including edge cases and critical breaking points — that reflect how the platform is actually used, not just the happy path. Perform thorough regression testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing to validate new features and detect potential breaking points. Defect Management Identify, document, and track software defects, collaborating closely with developers to drive timely resolution and maintain product quality. Actively explore and adopt AI-assisted testing tools and techniques as they become available, contributing ideas for how automation and intelligent tooling can improve team efficiency. Documentation & Continuous Improvement Maintain and update QA documentation, including test scenarios, test results, and quality metrics, to support transparency and continual improvement. Ensure adherence to QA methodologies, organisational best practices, and industry standards throughout the software development lifecycle. Champion quality and accessibility — proactively identifying risks and opportunities to enhance usability, accessibility, and compliance with web standards. Collaboration Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to prioritise testing activities and deliverables, managing tasks across multiple features and competing deadlines. Work closely with developers and Business Analysts to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria before and during test design. Required Skills & Experience 1+ years of proven work experience in a Quality Assurance role. Hands-on experience in web application testing with a solid understanding of critical breaking points and edge cases within complex applications. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, along with experience documenting test tasks and findings. Experience identifying test scenarios and writing thorough, well-structured test cases. Familiarity with test automation concepts and scripting experience in at least one framework (e.g., Selenium, Playwright). Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a structured approach to problem-solving. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team. Ability to manage time and tasks effectively, handling multiple workstreams with competing priorities. Knowledge of web standards, technologies, and accessibility compliance (e.g., WCAG). Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile delivery practices. A positive, curious attitude toward AI adoption — open to exploring AI-powered testing tools, automated defect analysis, and other emerging techniques to work more effectively. This is a core expectation, not a nice-to-have. Nice to Have Experience with automated pipeline-based unit testing, including familiarity with CI/CD tools and integration of automated tests into development workflows. Exposure to HR technology, talent assessment, or recruitment platform domains. Working knowledge of SQL for data validation during testing. 2583997
