Lead I - Software Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in designing, developing, supporting, and enhancing enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Node.js, React.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, with proven experience supporting production applications, resolving complex issues, and delivering high-quality software solutions in fast-paced environments. This role requires the ability to quickly understand existing application architectures, troubleshoot production issues, implement enhancements, and contribute to the continuous improvement of business-critical applications. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams while following software engineering best practices, Agile methodologies, and DevOps processes. Required Skills & Qualifications 5-7 years of software engineering experience in full-stack application development and support. Strong expertise in Node.js and JavaScript. Hands-on experience with React.js, Express.js, and MongoDB in enterprise applications. Experience working with complex JavaScript codebases and production support environments. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures. Experience with Oracle/RDBMS, SQL, and NoSQL databases. Knowledge of application monitoring, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis. Experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Experience with testing frameworks such as React Testing Library, Jest, or similar tools. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams. Key Responsibilities Provide production support, maintenance, and enhancement for business-critical web applications. Develop and maintain applications using Node.js, React.js, Express.js, and MongoDB. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while ensuring system stability and performance. Develop and support REST APIs and microservices. Perform code analysis, bug fixes, and performance optimization activities. Collaborate with QA, DevOps, product, and business teams to deliver software solutions. Participate in release planning, deployments, and post-production validation activities. Follow software engineering best practices, coding standards, testing strategies, and CI/CD processes. Contribute to application scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability. Leverage GitHub Copilot or similar AI-powered development tools to improve productivity.
