About Position:

We are seeking an experienced Java Data Engineering Architect to lead the design, development, and modernization of enterprise data platforms and data-intensive applications. This role is responsible for architecting scalable data ecosystems, implementing real-time and batch data processing frameworks, and driving cloud-based data modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong Java engineering expertise with deep data architecture knowledge to deliver secure, scalable, and business-driven data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and operational excellence across the organization.

What You'll Do:

Define enterprise-wide data architecture standards, frameworks, and engineering best practices.

Design and implement scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, and enterprise data integration solutions.

Architect and develop real-time and batch data processing platforms using modern data engineering technologies.

Lead data modernization initiatives and cloud-based data platform transformation programs.

Design and implement Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and data integration architectures that support business intelligence and analytics workloads.

Build and optimize microservices-based data applications using Java, Spring Boot, and API-driven architectures.

Develop scalable solutions leveraging AWS Glue, Kafka, Spark, Airflow, and cloud-native data services.

Establish data governance, data quality, master data management (MDM), metadata management, and compliance standards.

Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Business stakeholders to deliver enterprise data solutions.

Drive performance optimization, scalability improvements, data lifecycle management, and platform reliability initiatives.

Define and implement data security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance controls across data platforms.

Conduct architecture reviews, design workshops, proof of concepts, and technology evaluations.

Mentor data engineers, developers, and technical teams on modern data architecture patterns and best practices.

Support production readiness, operational excellence, monitoring, observability, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Expertise You'll Bring:

8-12 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Enterprise Application Development, or Cloud Data Platforms.

Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot 2+, Integration Frameworks, APIs, and Microservices Architecture.

Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale Data Engineering and Data Platform solutions.

Deep understanding of ETL/ELT frameworks, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Data Marts, and distributed data architectures.

Hands-on experience with AWS services including AWS Glue ETL and cloud-native data engineering services.

Strong expertise in Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, and real-time data processing architectures.

Advanced SQL skills with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Microsoft SQL Server, and relational database design.

Experience implementing enterprise data governance, Master Data Management (MDM), data quality, metadata management, and compliance frameworks.

Strong knowledge of batch processing, streaming architectures, event-driven systems, and large-scale data integration patterns.

Experience developing and deploying scalable REST APIs and microservices for data applications.

Familiarity with data security, regulatory compliance, and enterprise data management best practices.

Experience working within cloud-native environments and modern DevOps practices.
