About Position:

We are seeking a talented Java Backend Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and backend application development. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams to build scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions. What You'll Do:

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.

Develop scalable RESTful APIs and business services for enterprise applications.

Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Participate in application design discussions and contribute to technical solution development.

Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and efficient code following engineering best practices.

Develop and optimize backend business logic and application workflows.

Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and team productivity.

Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects and performance issues.

Develop and optimize database queries, stored procedures, and data access layers.

Work closely with QA teams to ensure comprehensive testing and quality assurance.

Utilize Git for source code management and collaborative software development.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Support production deployments, release activities, and post-deployment monitoring.

Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, frameworks, and engineering standards.

Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions when appropriate.

Expertise You'll Bring:

3-6 years of hands-on experience in Java application development.

Strong proficiency in Core Java and modern Java versions (Java 17/21 preferred).

Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and backend application development.

Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and software design patterns.

Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs and web services.

Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.

Experience with database design, query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning.

Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or other relational database systems.

Experience working in Unix/Linux environments and command-line operations.

Hands-on experience using Git and distributed version control systems.

Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and development methodologies.

Experience working in Agile and Scrum-based development environments.

Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical problem-solving skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.
