Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer / Associate Design Engineer to support instrumentation engineering, technical documentation, and electrical and instrumentation drawing preparation for industrial projects. The role involves reviewing P&IDs, preparing instrument datasheets and indexes, developing wiring and loop diagrams, and working with field instruments and valves. The candidate should have good working knowledge of AutoCAD, a basic understanding of PLC programming, and a willingness to support site visits and project commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

Review and interpret P&ID drawings.

Prepare and review instrumentation documentation, including Instrument Datasheets, Instrument Index, and related engineering documents.

Prepare electrical and instrumentation drawings, including Single-Line Diagrams (SLDs), Cable Block Diagrams, and Instrument Loop Diagrams.

Prepare and interpret instrument installation and hook-up drawings.

Use AutoCAD to prepare and modify engineering drawings.

Work with field instruments, including Pressure Gauges, Pressure Transmitters, Temperature Transmitters, Flowmeters, Thermocouples, and RTDs.

Understand different types of valves, including Ball Valves, Gate Valves, Butterfly Valves, Pneumatic-Operated Valves, and Motorized Valves.

Apply basic PLC programming knowledge using platforms such as Siemens, Rockwell, or Schneider.

Support site activities related to instrument installation and project commissioning.

Understand the basic requirements of weatherproof and flameproof instruments.

Travel to project sites for site visits and commissioning activities as required, with travel of up to 60%.

Requirements

Qualification

B.E. / B.Tech in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering.

Experience

4–7 years of relevant experience in instrumentation engineering or instrumentation design.

Experience in the Oil & Gas industry is preferred.

Other Requirements

Good working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Ability to prepare and interpret instrumentation engineering drawings and documentation.

Practical understanding of field instruments and industrial valves.

Basic knowledge of PLC programming, preferably Siemens, Rockwell, or Schneider.

Basic understanding of weatherproof and flameproof instrumentation.

Willingness to travel for site visits and project commissioning activities, as required.
