In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
You will lead the engineering, development, integration, testing, and commissioning of advanced Data Center PMS/ECMS solutions for AI-ready, mission-critical facilities with onsite generation and complex electrical distribution systems.
•Review customer specifications, SLDs, protection schemes, AI workload profiles, generator operating philosophy, and power management requirements.
•Design PMS/ECMS architectures, DCS control strategies, network topologies, and system integration approaches for high-density data center electrical infrastructure.
•Develop, configure, and tune Ovation DCS databases, control logic, graphics, alarms, trends, displays, and operator interfaces for PMS applications.
•Engineer advanced load management functions including AI peak demand control, priority-based load shedding, load restoration, load sharing, islanding, black start, bus transfer, and demand management.
•Develop complex load bus management schemes for multiple electrical buses, generators, transformers, switchgear lineups, UPS/BESS interfaces, and critical/non-critical load groups.
•Engineer and validate multi-generator synchronization, load sharing, generator sequencing, spinning reserve logic, and transitions between grid-connected, islanded, and backup operating modes.
•Integrate generators, switchgear, substations, transformers, protective relays, RTACs, meters, UPS, BESS, renewable energy systems, and utility/grid interfaces.
•Configure and troubleshoot IEC 61850, Modbus, OPC UA, DNP3, and related communication protocols used for power system automation and electrical asset integration.
•Prepare engineering deliverables including PMS philosophy, FDS, logic narratives, cause-and-effect matrices, I/O lists, communication documents, simulation plans, and test procedures.
•Execute simulation, FAT, SAT, system integration, commissioning, startup, performance tuning, and customer acceptance testing for PMS/ECMS systems.
•Lead system power-up, redundancy testing, communication verification, functional testing, failure-mode testing, and validation of electrical operating scenarios.
•Coordinate with customers, consultants, vendors, project teams, and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with project requirements, quality standards, industry codes, and mission-critical uptime expectations.
