Role Summary

BeatO is looking for an E-commerce Category Manager to own and grow its personal care category online. This is an individual contributor role for someone who is comfortable running a category end to end, from assortment and pricing to merchandising and performance.

Success means a growing, profitable personal care category with a sharp assortment, strong conversion, and healthy repeat purchase.

Key Responsibilities

Own the P&L and growth plan for the personal care category across BeatO's online channels, with clear targets for revenue, margin, and conversion.

Build and manage the category assortment: decide which products to add, fix, or retire, based on sales data, customer demand, and competitor moves.

Own pricing, promotions, and offers for the category, balancing growth with profitability.

Drive category merchandising on the website and app, including collections, product pages, content, imagery, and cross-sell.

Track daily and weekly performance (traffic, conversion, AOV, repeat rate, return rate, margin) and take quick corrective action.

Work with performance marketing, CRM, and brand teams to plan category campaigns, launches, and seasonal events.

Coordinate with supply chain, vendors, and operations to keep inventory healthy and fulfilment reliable.

Study category trends, consumer behavior, and competitor offerings to spot white spaces and new product opportunities.

Present category performance and plans to leadership with clear insights and recommendations.

Requirements

6 to 7 years of experience in e-commerce.

Hands-on experience managing D2C personal care categories (for example skincare, haircare, grooming, or body care).

Track record of owning category performance, including assortment, pricing, and conversion.

Strong analytical skills, with comfort working in Excel or Google Sheets and e-commerce dashboards.

Comfortable working as an individual contributor, executing hands-on without a team.

Based in Delhi, or willing to relocate.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience on Shopify or similar D2C storefront platforms.

Exposure to marketplaces and quick commerce channels.

Experience supporting new product launches, including vendor and brand coordination.

Working understanding of paid marketing and retention levers and how they affect category performance.

Interest in health and wellness consumer products.
