Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to define, build, and scale our quality assurance strategy across web applications/openAPI, and data-intensive systems. This role combines test automation leadership, data validation expertise, and modern QA practices—including AI-assisted testing and cloud-native test environments.

You will lead a team (or cross-functional QA efforts), establish testing standards, and ensure reliable releases through robust automation, synthetic test data management, and end-to-end quality coverage.

Responsibilities:

Test Strategy & Leadership

Own the QA strategy, test plans, and release quality gates across applications and data pipelines

Lead and mentor QA engineers; define best practices for automation, BDD, and test data management

Partner with Engineering, Product, and Data teams to shift quality left and reduce production defects

Report on quality metrics, test coverage, and release readiness to stakeholders

Test Automation

Design and maintain Playwright -based UI and API automation frameworks

Implement and govern Behave (BDD) test suites with clear Gherkin scenarios and reusable step definitions

Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with reliable, parallel execution

Data & Database Testing

Validate data integrity, transformations, and reporting using SQL across relational and warehouse databases

Design test strategies for ETL/ELT pipelines, data migrations, and analytics workloads

Use Delphix for data virtualization, masking, and provisioning of non-production test environments

Build and manage synthetic test data strategies to support secure, scalable, and repeatable testing

Cloud & AI-Enabled QA

Deploy and manage test infrastructure on AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch)

Leverage AI tools and techniques for test case generation, defect triage, visual regression, or intelligent test prioritization

Test AI/ML-powered features where applicable (model outputs, data drift, edge cases, and regression scenarios)

Requirements:

10+ years of QA experience, with 3+ years in a lead or senior QA role

Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for web/API automation

Proficiency with Behave or similar BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)

Solid SQL skills for data validation, query optimization, and test assertions

Experience with Delphix or comparable data virtualization/masking platforms

Demonstrated experience in data synthesis / synthetic test data generation for complex, privacy-sensitive datasets

Working knowledge of AWS services and cloud-based test environment design

Experience applying AI in QA workflows (e.g., Copilot-assisted scripting, LLM-based test design, or AI product testing)

Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)

Excellent communication skills and ability to influence across technical and non-technical teams

Preferences:

Experience testing data platforms (Snowflake, Redshift, Databricks, or similar)

Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured, or custom frameworks)

Familiarity with performance and load testing (k6, JMeter, Locust)

Experience with test management and reporting tools (TestRail, Zephyr, Allure, or similar)

ISTQB Advanced or relevant cloud/data certifications

Python proficiency (common with Behave and many automation stacks)

Core Competencies:

Able to make quick decisions and resolve complex technical problems

Ability to manage through shift changes and effectively transition open and unresolved issues.

Ability to adapt, learn new technologies, develop new processes, and improve procedures.

Excellent documentation skills.
