Job Description - Data Engineer (1-3 Years Experience)
Position: Data Engineer (Buffer Resource)
Experience: 1-3 Years
Job Summary
We are looking for a Data Engineer with 1-2 years of experience to support data integration, data processing, and analytics initiatives. The candidate should have basic knowledge of SQL, Python, and ETL concepts and be willing to work on data development, testing, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and support data pipelines and ETL processes.
Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and validation.
Perform data testing, reconciliation, and basic data quality checks.
Monitor daily data loads and investigate data issues.
Troubleshoot pipeline failures and support defect resolution.
Assist in data ingestion, transformation, and reporting activities.
Validate source-to-target data mappings and business rules.
Document technical processes, data flows, and test results.
Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business teams to understand requirements.
Provide production support for data-related incidents and jobs.
Mandatory Skills
Good knowledge of Python .
Strong understanding of SQL and database concepts.
Basic experience with Snowflake or any RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts .
Basic knowledge of data validation and testing.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have
Exposure to ETL tools such as ADF, Informatica, Talend, or SSIS .
Basic knowledge of SODA or data quality frameworks.
Familiarity with Git or Azure DevOps.
Exposure to Power BI or reporting tools.
Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS .
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL Development, Data Analysis, or a related role.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to learn new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment.
