The Assistant - Shipping at Varun Beverages Ltd. will be responsible for overseeing all activities in the loading bay, including the movement of lorries, loading and unloading of goods, and coordination with transport partners. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively across shifts to keep the supply chain flowing smoothly.
Monitor and record shift movements within the loading bay.
Coordinate arrival and departure of lorries.
Supervise loading and unloading of goods from lorries.
Communicate loading schedules and requirements to transporters.
Ensure compliance with safety and operational procedures.
Maintain accurate logs of lorry movements and cargo handling.
Prepare and verify shipping documents and paperwork.
Conduct pre‑ and post‑operation inspections of vehicles and equipment.
Resolve any on‑site issues or delays promptly.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized loading area.
High school diploma or equivalent; higher education preferred.
1–2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations.
Familiarity with loading bay and lorry handling procedures.
Ability to operate basic material‑handling equipment (e.g., forklift).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Basic computer literacy for record‑keeping and communication.
Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading tasks.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in shipping.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
