Job Description

Manage, secure, and optimize the organization's on-premises and cloud server infrastructure, including Nutanix AHV, Windows and Linux servers, Active Directory, Veeam backup, infrastructure monitoring, and Microsoft Azure. The role focuses on reliable day-to-day operations, backup and disaster recovery readiness, security hardening, and automation of routine tasks using PowerShell or Python in an ITIL-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Administer Nutanix AHV clusters, including VM provisioning, patching, capacity planning, and cluster health.

Manage Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Active Directory, including server builds, patching, GPOs, DNS/DHCP, and replication health.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers running RHEL, CentOS, or Ubuntu.

Own Veeam backup and restore operations, including job configuration, restore testing, retention, and DR readiness.

Manage Azure infrastructure, including VMs, storage, networking, backup, and cost governance, and support a small Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) footprint.

Maintain infrastructure monitoring in PRTG, including sensors, thresholds, alerting, and dashboards.

Automate provisioning, patching, and reporting using PowerShell or Python.

Manage incidents, requests, changes, and problems in line with ITIL practices and agreed SLAs, and maintain runbooks and documentation.

Participate in maintenance windows, upgrades, and the on-call rotation.

Support security hardening and vulnerability remediation across server and cloud infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

3–6 years of hands-on experience in server and cloud infrastructure administration.

Production experience with Nutanix AHV.

Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration skills.

Working knowledge of Linux server administration.

Hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication, including restores and DR drills.

Monitoring experience with PRTG or an equivalent tool.

Demonstrated experience managing Azure infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and backup.

Scripting skills in PowerShell or Python.

ITIL certification and experience working in an ITIL-aligned environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or Citrix.

Exposure to VMware, OCI, or cloud migration projects.

Experience with FreshService or similar ITSM platforms.

Certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104), Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), or Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE).

Educational Qualification: BE/B.Tech/BCA/MCA, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
